Half-Life: Decay is the the third expansion pack for the award-winning game, Half-Life. It was included as part of the PS2 version of Half-Life. Decay returns to the setting and timeline of the original story, albeit portraying the story from the viewpoint of a different set of protagonists: two scientists working in the Black Mesa Research Facility. Decay is a cooperative multiplayer game, designed to be played by two people working together to pass through the game's levels.

Fully updated version of Gearbox's Half-Life High Definition Pack, both with original and new models and sprites. Also includes the "standalone HD directories" patch for Xash3D users.

For some reason, the clean suit scientist that gets thrown through the window in the beginning of Opposing Force isn't HD.
Is this a bug, or will the clean suits get updated models later?
They ARE HD. This model is from retail High Definition Pack (so I couldn't forget to include it), and it has the same texture of hazard suit as vanilla (LD) one. The only difference is faces.

It's perfectly playable with vanilla Half-Life, you just need to switch between characters to complete it in solo. Even Xen chapter can be unlocked. Xash3D crashes in few places exactly where you need to switch between characters, when monsters attack your second character (and you almost can't prevent this). Also all maps are available from begining, you don't have to unlock them like it's intended to be.
I heard there's some bugs in co-op mode too.
I wonder if you ever make "Echoes High Definition: Further Improvements Pack", a High Definition pack for Half-Life: Echoes
It would be cool, but I'm not sure I can make the new characters such as HEV Barney and workers.
For those who's asking me to upload this into Gamebanana - I can't say "yes", because it needs to add screenshots there, and I don't have enough time for it.

But you need to say thanks to all guys who made and published most of the new models, such as X-RED (XRGM), Davey (Dakashi), SouL BreaKeR, /TheWolf, VitorHunter, etc. Without their help, this addon would never exist, and I'm happy that I wasn't the only guy who wanted to improve the official HD models rather than download another pack or just play with vanilla (LD) models. I mean, there's many other fan-made high-poly model packs, but they look creepy to me, and I still prefer the Gearbox's one.
In fact, I know that Most of the models were created by other people, thanks to them too for such work.
Yes you are right almost all high quality model kits from fans are disgusting,that's why your package is good because it looks good and fits into the game.
I have a couple of questions for you
1.) Will there be an alternative high quality package in the form of a pack LD?it's just that there are a lot of add-ons that change models in the style of LD models.
2.) What other addon do you plan to create yet, you just create them very high quality?

Is anybody else suddenly having crashes while using custom packs like this ? Especially with explosions.
So apparently, the game doesn't seem to like custom med-crategibs models anymore. I deleted it and that cursed explosive crate from Blast Pit doesn't make it crash anymore.
I've removed all gibs models. At least, the pack looks less complicated now.
This is the HD Pack we deserved, it has everything and it covers all models, specially the zombie security guard, which always annoyed me that there was no HD model for it, I highly recommend this addon. This is truuly a work of passion and dedication!

I have to warn some modmakers: you're not allowed to use this pack in your own submissions, because, as you may notice, most of the files here ARE NOT MINE. I don't have rights to give you a permission, so you should ask one from the original creators, if you want to include their HD models to your mod.

Thank you! I often preferred LD models for nostalgia feeling despite still liking official HD models, but this HD pack brought it to a whole new level. I absolutely LOVE it! May I suggest naming the folders with the models with _addon prefix instead of _hd? It's easier to separate it from official hd models folder so it doesn't get overwritte upon checking local game files
I'm afraid no. The point of making this addon was to improve the official High Definition Pack.
Point taken. I thought using the _addon prefix would be better not for overwriting "official" files, but my solution requires "allow custom addon content" to be checked, it's somewhat the same and works anyway in the end, but your solution is philosophically more accurate haha
Hello, I have one problem with the shotgun, in Half Life and Blue Shift, the sound of the shotgun works well, but in the Opposing Forces, the sound of the shotgun does not match the animation, you can do this to correct?

I'm wondering if there's HD versions of the Black Mesa advertisement posters that you see in the beginning levels of Half Life like there is in Blue Shift and Decay. I'm unsure if its possible to change their textures to go along with the HD models as they're part of the maps.
They were in this pack, but then I had to remove them. They worked with "r_wadtextures" command only, which causes missing textures on the custom maps which don't have their own WADs.
Fair enough. That makes it more compatible with some other mods so it works better that way.
