Fractured State is an RTS game chronicling a civil war in the country of Laperia. In the Summer of 1195 the Ritualist followers of Jefferson Kimmel consolidate in the northern provinces and, along with constables from several city-states, cede from Laperia and form the nation of Kalen. Executor Sor, the Imperialist leader of Laperia, swiftly declares all out war while Kimmel mentors his followers on how to harness the technology of a mysterious ancient civilization.

We took a bit of time off from updating our blog and social media outlets to try and hammer some things out for our combat prototype. We felt like we were stretching to come up with things to write about each week instead of focusing on the things that needed to get done. That being said - I don't know that we'll go back to updating every week, but we're going to try to update more than once every 5 weeks.
Here's the latest Dev Video that I made. It shows our snapping terrain system and a brand new Navigation Mesh module. Enjoy!

Spent hours figuring out why capsule check wasn't working - it was hitting my character and always returning true. I need a beer #unity3d

@_Wolfos Even in declarations? I understand explicitly typing calculated values but I don't think I've ever seen anyone do it in a dec :)

@_Wolfos @krides Why write (float)1.0 instead of 1f? In C# float f = 1f is redundant. var f = 1f or float f = 1 is typically more "standard"

LOL, after the video ended it went back to the inicial image of "Which, in game will be..." and an advertisement of CoD: Black Ops 2 thing appeared with the soldier down on the knee firing, and I was like O_O? for a second xD
can you actually try out doing this as a mod (or official expansion if the developers agree, last year they made a mod into an official DLC )for the game "Mount&Blade : Warband" since the game is very moddable game and the singleplayer mixes RTS with some Third-person medieval combat fighting game for battles.. and the multiplayer is the usual DM,TDM,CTf and battles and sieges and even some mods that players made such as invasion, sea battles, etc.
Our goal has always been to make a game with a flexible modding API and to support the mods that come out of the community. I'm not sure what our motivation would be to make a mod instead of a standalone game.
So, is it a RTS game with nation building?
While we do have ideas for some persistent elements in the game we currently have no plans to implement a nation building mechanic.
Love the concepts, looking forward to seeing this develop further!
Those concepts are pretty awesome. Especially the impressive facial hair. Any idea on what the price of this sucker will be?
The modding tools will be integrated directly into the game client but will also always be available for free as a separate download. In terms of final price for the game - we're not entirely sure yet as we're just not far enough along. We're probably going to do some alpha funding at some point and offer the game at a lower price for folks who want to get in early.
The setting looks unique, tracking this man!
We appreciate the love. Thanks!
