I think the Empire Total War engine would be good for a Star Wars related mod.

You know what a Good mod/game would be if they did through total war is a World War 1 strategy.
very true..... i was very disappointed...... my 50 dollars was not well spent... and steam constantly makes it lag for me when i try to run it, along with the fact that for some reason i can get the graphics in medieval 2 to be amazing compared to empire total war.
the best i can make empire go without lagging is low shader quality, and almost all textures at medium.....
and that makes their guns look like sticks
on medieval 2 i can turn everything literally to top quality, it doesn't lag, and it's fantastic.....
what about buying a new computer?
Well the latest patch doubled performance for all users.
Doesn't that say anything to you? 3-4 months after release, they released a patch that double performance, imagine how much better reviews would of been if that had been in release?
It's just when a game gets released buggy, it's hard to forget.

That tells me that they are good developers, who even long after release, and knowing that reviews will not be any better because of it [altogether with not have any notable increase in sales], they still work on making the experience better for their current community.
The fact is they released it without it, and easily could have. They're just doing it to cover their asses so people will buy the next one.
The Reviews were fantastic for the game, citing the technical issues were minor. It was just a rushed release on their part, you can ask anyone.
Poor performance, bug ridden, not as fun as M:TW2, and AI is still as bad as the older ones. When a unit cannot figure out how to get around a building, it is a sad day. :P
Seriously guys, get yer crap together. ;P
Better looking but honestly plays way worse than MDTW 2 and having essentially the same 9 or 10 units in every country is DULL
