This mod aims to add alot more difficulty to Dishonored(TM).
The goal is to stay true-ish to the original design but tighten the difficulty screws by quite a lot in many areas.
Included are various fixes which have been found by the community.

Building on Moddb.com & Moddb.com I found my need to further punish myself was not met yet.
Also using the tool from Moddb.com I re-edited many (if not all) of the values for a more grueling experience.
On top we throw in some juicy gore from Moddb.com.
Hey, choffer!
have you ever wondered why Corvo can buy half of Piero's upgrades when he just escaped prison? It's not like the convicted assassin of the empress has good credit... anywhere. All of Piero's prices have been doubled with extra high price tags on high-tier gear like combat sleep-darts and the upgraded stealth boots. This will require the player to specialize in equipment AND hunt for treasures at the same time. It will not (at least without DLC) be possible to buy all the upgrades available. Same as with the supernatural abilities you won't be able to have them all on one playthrough.
And what's that about Sokolov's Health Elixir being all rare, short in supply and heavily rationed? Corvo finds hundreds of them on each mission. To remedy the overabundance of health potions their effect has been greatly reduced. Running out of health potions is an option now. Especially combined with the more aggressive health loss from falling damage.
How come sepia is for free? Dark-vision & Blink will now cost mana. Furthermore maximum mana-regeneration has been toned down but so has the regeneration delay. Also reduced is the maximum mana-pool. And henceforth Piero's Remedy will restore less mana.
Enemies are out to catch Corvo Attano? Now they are! Stealth is not paramount but will make your life a whole lot easier. And if things go loud then you better be well equipped to stem the tide. Otherwise you will very quickly hear a remark that goes something like:
"Blow off, choffer!"
The short run-down:
- less HP, less mana
- more equipable bonecharms
- less effects from potions and elixirs
- increased damage from falling
- less mana-regeneration
- re-worked the manacost/duration/ranges of spells
- greatly increased shop prices with Piero
- returned ammo capacities back to vanilla settings to keep the "High Chaos" approach an option [also: can't edit text-descriptions D:]
- AI settings have been carried over from the Ultimate Difficulty mod with some merges from Balance Mode beta -> expect deadly combat with lots of guards swarming you
- weapons have received minor tweaks and should trigger more dismemberments now
- leaning has been toned down and the left-/right-tilt have been smoothed out a little bit
- also included are the various fixes for infinite bodies, HD shadows & more resourses for streaming which were incoporated in the Balance Mode beta already
- as a bonus I added a "walk" keybind which is set on "V" by default (can be changed easily in DishonoredInput.ini)
Update ver. 0.1:
- decreased manapool
- increased number of equipable bonecharms even further (10 max)
- adjusted walk key script binding, it is still bound to "v" but is using the walk function rather than sprint
How to install:
1.) Navigate to ":\Documents\My Games\Dishonored\DishonoredGame\Config\". Copy and back-up all *.ini files in that folder to a safe place (just in case things go wrong).
2.) Extract all *.ini files in the "Config" folder from the downloaded archive into ":\Documents\My Games\Dishonored\DishonoredGame\Config\". Overwrite when prompted.
3.) Set extracted files to "read-only".
4.) Navigate to "\Steam\steamapps\common\Dishonored\DishonoredGame\CookedPCConsole". Copy and back-up the files "DishonoredGame.upk","Startup.upk","L_Pub_craftsman.upk" & "Twk_Upgrades_SF.upk" to a safe place.
5.) Extract all *.upk files in the folder "CookedPCConsole" from the downloaded archive into "\Steam\steamapps\common\Dishonored\DishonoredGame\CookedPCConsole".
6.) Done.
Settings will take over immediately, a new game is not necessary but strongly advised. Not recommended for a 1st time playthrough. Feedback, critizism & bug reports are welcome.
If anybody can point me towards the vanilla base values for powers/bone charms/movementspeeds etc from the *.upk files then that would be great.
Not having a base reference as to which to compare with is hard since I'm working with user made values in the *.upk files.
(I cannot for the love of my life get to the "Tautologist Tool" to read out my original *.upk files in a proper way.)
О как )))
