The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.
Ok, now I'm working on the new GDI Super Weapon. What you see here is a proof of concept using the normal Ion Cannon. I'm going to modify it so its no where near as flashy and it fires quicker but the point still stands, a "Targeting Drone" will fly from one side to the other of the map and will tag any enemy units or instalations that it finds as it flys over. As it does this Ion Cannon strikes will fall from the sky blasting the targets. Finally when the Drone hits the "target location" that the player picks at the beginning it will fire a normal "Full Strike" Ion cannon strike at that location doing massive damage.
So here's a pic of the proof of concept working, thoughts?

I can't take full credit for the idea, Kunaiswarm helped come up with the idea for this one. I just figured out how to do it and refined the idea some.
The idea is that on a map with large forces/large bases this one power will hit it's intended target but can also cut a line across multiple bases/enemy forces as it go's truly showing off why GDI ditched Nuclear weapons in favor of Ion Technology. Just one hit after another in a straight line will also open up an enemy base for an assault!
Now the only question is do I make it so that the Targeting Drone can be shot down or not.....
Yes, make it possible to shoot it down, but make it to where units won't target it without orders.
However, this would reduce its effectiveness against ai players as they would notice it and order their units to destroy it.
I think I will allow it to get shot down but if it does then it will fire the main shot at its point of destruction, a fair trade off yes?

I'm thinking a way to counter those super-weapons:
GDI: Uses the Anti-Ballistic Missile to counter the Nod Nukes. On the other-hand, building a new ion pulse turret cannon or a particle turret to stop the Nods Nukes before it lands.
Nod: Using Nukes to destroy the ion cannon in one hit, while using the Ion disruption generators.
Scrin: Using Phase Shields < No super-weapons would harm them until its duration expires.
We already have a counter sheild system set up for gdi, nod, and scrin set up in the game. These counter sheild systems do change how the game is played from an end game piont of view.
I have also came up with an idea for UC and AW but I have to talk to ryan about it as well to make sure it goes over well with our current setup. I can promise you the game play will never feel the same agen.

Yea, the design is that it will fire shot after shot in a line across the planet cutting a path of destruction across the land. Thats the design anyways lol. Now that my proof of concept is done I'm working on getting it actually working properly now.
