The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.
The Shrill Kite is the last "new" unit that we have to add in to GDI (though not the last change, I must point that out).
It was originally designed for atmospheric/space use under GDI's Space Next program. While the unit has never seen space combat it is able to reach fast speeds and is heavily armored in the Earths Atmosphere.
It is equipped with 4 SS Missiles. These Sonic Sidewinders do not pack the punch of normal missiles that the Firehawk uses but they do have a greater blast radius and cause enemy pilots to become temporarily disoriented for a second lowering their speed by 30% and causing their weapons to not fire.
But the main weapon on this new unit is it's Experimental Mobile Ion Cannon. The design was originally intended for use against unknown enemies from space giving it amazing punch but unfortunatly the Shrillkite can not generate enough energy to charge the Cannon. Because of this after it fires the Shrillkite has to return to base to have the cannon recharged.
