The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.
During the process of getting the random storms to develop I also managed to pull off what I call the "Ion Storm Blanket" effect. This is quite cool to look at in motion. ANYTHING caught under it is dead, to say the least. I'm thinking of adding this in as an alternative to the Rift Generator, thoughts?

As awsome as it looks, right now its unbalanced. That's 50 ion storms your looking at there. If I did this I would make the timer like 15 minutes or somethin as it really kills everything dead in a matter of microseconds lol.
Ion storms! I think too many ions storm can make a chance of lag.

I will test on that but I've not seen any lag in skirmish mode
Shoot, fire this baby off, and you have both instant death for everything on the ground, and an area denial weapon for however long the storms last. plus, if the storms are the same as normal ion storms, the scrin could send in an air fleet. Damn, hit the edge of a base with this, then send in the armada into the storm. Sounds like a game over one-two combo.
I'm curious though. Could this same effect happen with 50 scrin carriers? Be insanely expensive and time consuming, and vulnerable to anti-air.
You could do that with carriers and their personal storms. Also remember Ion Storms heal Scrin Air units. I think I'm gonna keep it in, but like I said give it an insane fire-off time so that all players know "OH CRAP, WE NEED TO KILL THAT STRUCTURE NOW" when it is deployed. Kinda like NOD's Tiberium Bomb lol.
what a bout those factions that are promised in the summary like the Earth Federation, the Zeon, the Invid and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. are you guys no longer going to the almost same kind of thing that you did to the Command & Conquer Generals game? i have not even seen any thing for either the Zeon, the Invid, or the Earth Robotech Defense Force. when are you guys going to start working on the Zeon, Invid and Earth Robotech Defense Force Factions? also when are you guys going to develop new sounds for the mobile suits because they sound way too much like the units from the original three factions?
