This mod serves as a fan-made, unofficial expansion pack for Wolfenstein 3D that contains 30 new levels, 10 levels in each new episodes, two new guns (both that can be located on the original levels too) and an automap for orientation purposes. It'll be made for both DOS and SDL engines and the planned release date is May 05, 2022.

Wolfenstein 3D - 30th Anniversary Edition

RELEASED!

On this day (May 05) 30 years ago, the first shareware version of Wolfenstein was released. To celebrate this event, an unofficial 30th anniversary edition finally sees the daylight after almost 7 years of hard work on both DOS and SDL systems, expanding the original game with yet another brand new trilogy, with 3 episodes, consisting of 10 levels each, bringing additional new features you haven't seen in the original game before including improvements and enhancements, it's all fun and great, but now totally in your face additions so you'll still get the original experience! Both DOS and SDL releases were done with care and playtested just enough times, so everyone will get the best experience possible!

Thank you so much for this mod i recently discovered at: Forums.duke4.net
I can't judge the whole project because i am far away from a complete playthrough with all relevant difficulty settings but: it's GREAT!
Design of new levels fits perfectly and even though it took me a quite long time to begin to love Wolfenstein3D (lost while running through corridors that look somewhat similar ;) ) this is a perfect anniversary present for a game and mod well made.
Keep up the good work!
p.s. new things like minimaps and new weapon(packs),new secret on levels (1-6 also!).. not to forget new difficulty [edit done]
are cool - thanks again ;)

p.s.p.s. ;) how can i take screenshots in the SDL2 version?
tried the 30th anniversary edition in DOS and there it works as usual...

The Print Screen button on your keyboard should do the job, just make sure you have a third party app like Paint or photoshop where you can paste that image in, or at least, that's the way I do it.

Enjoy! ><
Not much talk going on there about the mod, and I'm not sure since when LZWolf or ECWolf became the standard for mods.

Will this mod become compatible with ECWolf in the future?

Will the SDL version contain enhanced graphic options like vsync and widescreen in future updates?

If in the far distant future someone from the community capable enough to maintain the Wolf4SDL port with the skills needed to implement such features, then yes.

Is this the same game with just updated scenery? Because I am on level 3 and it SEEMS like I'm playing the same game but with new Gfx.

Was there any plans for Spear of Destiny integration or no? It's not a big deal if it isn't, I'm just curious.

Also, are there any new cheat codes for this version?

Spear integration was never planned.

Yes, there are new cheat codes and some of the original cheat codes are a bit tweaked.

Was their a list for the new codes? I checked the READ ME and "Read This!" sections and didn't find any mention of them.

Of course there's no mention of it, cheating is bad and it kills all the fun.

Yeah...because I haven't been playing this game since 1992 or anything and am just curious about basic features that would be listed for every other source port under the sun.

You might has well said that there aren't any cheats codes to begin with and not wasted my time.
