A phone call wakes you from a recurring nightmare. It's Jack Stone of the OSA, the Office of Secret Actions. Nothing better to distract from night terrors than diving head first into another mission.
A remnant nazi chapter has taken hold in castle Todesdrache in southern Germany. Colonel Müller, along with his henchmen, have successfully stolen the Holy Grail. Its supernatural properties have been the subject of debate for centuries. The OSA, not ready to take any chances, wants to send one of their best agents out to get it back. William J. Blazkowicz parachutes into the snowy woodlands just outside of the castle. Once more into the fray.

Based on the SDL source port of Spear of Destiny, Operation: Gral plays similarly to the game it is based upon. Fast, intense FPS action at its core, with a fresh coat of paint, set of levels and additional features. Battle your way through a total of 22 levels of intense, nazi-killing action! Confront the Colonel and his three henchmen in challenging, over-the-top boss fights. Reveal the ancient secrets of the Holy Grail and traverse dimensions in preparation for the final battle.
For fans of the old-school classics Wolfenstein 3D and Spear of Destiny, Operation: Gral will provide a hefty, fresh challenge. Thanks for visiting, Get Psyched!

After a comically long time stuck in and out of vaporware hell*, Operation: Gral is finally available! 22 levels of intense, pixellated, high-octane FPS action! Get the holy grail back from the remnant nazi chapter holed up in Castle Todesdrache. Plenty of armed soldiers and menacing bosses stand in your way. This should not prove an impossible task, however. After all, the OSA has sent none other than William J. Blazkowicz to take care of business. Get Psyched!
Operation: Gral is the joint efforts of Marcus S. and René N. Based upon the SDL source port of Spear of Destiny, the mod offers all new levels, new features, artwork, sounds and music for a completely new and fresh Wolfenstein experience.
*Vaporware status is solely the fault of Marcus. Map making takes a long time, okay...

I liked some of the new textures and objects, but the levels are very short and mostly uninteresting. The secrets are boring, the levels are not remembered ... Bosses are too easy to die from the rocket launcher. The last level can be surprisingly difficult. And yet the main complaint is a very weak level composition.

Is the Wolf3d mapset released on June 16 2013 what was left of TGOEL 1.5? Or is it an altogether unrelated mod?
Long overdue response, by a few years... But the mapset was something different altogether. Just someone else posting their mapset to the download section. TGOEL, or Operation: Gral, is now available. For real. I know, right? :)
So basically it is a remaster of TGOEL for SDL?
