War of the Silmarils is a sub-mod of Third Age: Total War, the ever popular total conversion for Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms. The goal is to follow the lore as closely as possible and faithfully reproduce the heroic First Age of Tolkien's Middle-earth in the Medieval II: Total War engine. War of the Silmarils features many new unique factions, each complete with a roster of units, a completely new campaign map of Beleriand and the lands to the North, and much more. Noldor guard of Barad Nimras, the coast tower built by Finrod Felagund in the Falas.

On the coast of the lands West of the haven of Eglarest, Finrod raised the watch-tower of Barad Nimras to watch over the seas, to ensure that no fleet of Morgoth could move unmarked on the waters. However, the seas were the realm of Ulmo, and orcs and other spawn of Morgoth shunned the waters and seas, fearing the Vala that still held openly to the First Born of Illuvatar.
Although not entirely needed, the watch upon Baras Nimras was ever vigilant, with skilled warriors in garrison at the tower. The Guard of Baras Nimras were skilled swordsmen, equipped with fine mail hauberks and great shields of blue, depicting the devices of their houses.
In melee these warriors are greatly skilled, and if called from their fortress, they will fight bravely alongside their brothers-at-arms.
