After several years of hiatus, I returned to Amnesia for another round.I'll try to bring on what I gathered during playing SoulsBorne games, a pre-alpha stage project in Unity, and improving a lot as a programmer.
As one of my estimated final projects for this game, it aims to overhaul and present cut and unreleased content by myself and other modders, who entrusted their work to me during my "inactive years". It will contain entire levels by various authors as well as fittingly designed gameplay for a Van Helsing style gun (and currently torch) combat, inspired by the design of Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Bloodborne and Painkiller.

To avoid an uncomprehensible amount of content that I would have put into one mod, I incorporated
some of my ideas into the community project I'm most actively working on at the moment.

Here's me pulling a reverse on the situation, putting Amnesia in Dark Souls instead!
To start things off, yes, you heard that right.
KiraImmortal as an alias, retired yesterday.
Not to worry, I will continue to interact with the community, work on and release creative work, but after completing a portfolio spanning over 10 years (and even 15 including older releases), I figured it's time to put up the shutters, and time for something new.
So with that, let me present my final project as KiraImmortal, released "right on time" on my last formally active day.
Esophagus - A Pandemia Escondida demo:
As my last project I can easily say, that it was the hardest part of aforementioned portfolio, with numerous crashes, redesigns and member changes. The sheer scale of it still frightens me from time to time, but I've been teasing playable material for years, so here's one!
Note that it's already a demanding mod, but the demo contains unique storyline and gameplay entirely "unrelated" to that of the final product. So feel free to try it, and of course, give me feedback and bug reports!
Here's an official walkthrough it you need it:
So what happens to the unfinished projects?
My plan was to leave peacefully in a way, that no TDD project is left "in TBD", and this is exactly what happened. I released all projects that I have planned to, leaving 2 in Early Access, including Pandemia.
These projects will NOT be abandoned however.
The big change here, is that 2023 was a year when I completed around 6 releases on Dark Descent. In 2024 my focus will almost completely shift from the game, and these 2 projects and any other lingering releases introduce a formula similar to Forbidden Trip.
I will release some things when updates are ready, with no date or content restrictions whatsoever.
So if you're still interested in existing project updates such as my Gun Mod or Pandemia itself, and more, be sure to follow their pages, and my Main Page.
As a formerly lead figure on Pandemia, it will certainly go under "new management" so to say from now on..
That would be all really.
Thanks for everyone who contributed and gave me constructive criticism during the last 10 years, all this work made me a better design and story guy, which is still who I remain after all this time.
When I have something new to show, I will announce it, until then, have fun with what's already available,
and have a great 2024!
Cheers, and farewell!
Quartz and Cordite demo releases with update and 64 bit support, full release remains in the future as TBD.
I completed my alpha showcase for mentioned event, here it is. Early access release coming in 2023 May, before the Bunker!
Due to my immense discomfort, the demo of Pandemia Escondida had to be pushed next year. Let's see why that is.
Wheezy Everlasting was just re-released for 2022 Halloween. And, as it was originally supposed to be for this mod, I'm now announcing its sequel as this...
To celebrate the coming release of the Bunker, I put together a public showcase you all can play. Pay attention to the tips and messages in game. Have...
Amnesia 64 bit support, made with 4GB LAA patcher by Daniel Pistelli. Only a flag was unlocked to give the game more memory. Installation instructions...
With Steam Workshop now added to AMnesia Dark Descent. What are your future thoughts regarding it?
Currently, there is no full conversion support :D So until that is a thing, most of my mods stay right where they are. I do plan on adding workshop support to whatever I can, with what's available at present.
Nearly all reported bugs are fixed, 64bit support is added! The demo is complete and final as it stands right now.
Interesting Models.
Thanks! Tried to go for a unique feeling while keeping the amnesia level design style.
Yeah but
*cough*
I was referring to a specific humanoid model.
:D well I can say that can attribute to the unique feeling. down with the patriarchy in amnesia (and special thanks to umbakarna for making it)!
Hey, interesting concept, but i found a glitch: if you have no ammo and try pressing "f", game gives you advice about having no oil as if you used a lantern.
You mean a hint? Yeah I probably should block out certain hints or rewrite them, thanks for the info!
Yeah, it was quite a fun experience all in all. Have to say, my favourite part was exploring all the areas that opened after a boss fight :)
I'm glad you enjoyed it :D hope to make all those areas playable with interesting events in the future
