This mod is now bundled with the sequel "Poke646: Vendetta" in the "Poke646: Anniversary Edition". It is highly recommended to download the Anniversary Edition, since the original Poke646 not only requires patching to run smoothly under the current Steam version of Half-Life, but also comes with lots of obsolete files from the pre-Steam era. This mod profile remains active however, as a hub for any specific Poke646 related file releases, articles or reviews.
ABOUT THE MOD:
It's 13 months after the incidents at Black Mesa. The Black Mesa Research Facility has been shut down. The nation never got to know anything about the experiments there. The less you know, the less you worry. The government founded a new organisation to handle "alien related topics". They hired the best scientists, technicians and military forces worldwide, its name is Poke646.
Some days ago the Poke646 scientists spotted alarming signals from the Xen homeworld. It looks as if the aliens plan to invade Nation City by opening a massive amount of portals. But the Poke646 Tech Labs are already prepared: some months ago the technicians developed a huge generator which is able to close hundreds of portals at once with a bundled energy beam. Four generators are about to be installed at the edges of Nation City. With all four activated they will form a giant beam and hopefully destroy the alien portal technology forever.
You play the role of Damien Reeves, the technical assistant of Dr. Fuller, and you don't know all these details. All you're currently worrying about is where the hell you lost your car keys when suddenly something hits your head and you slowly fade into unconciousness. When you wake up hours later, you quickly realize that some very strange things are going on...
Since all the original trailer footage for "Poke646" and "Poke646: Vendetta" is of very low quality, I assembled a HD trailer to accompany the release of the "Poke646: Anniversary Edition". Showcasing the vast variety of locations in the mods, this trailer focuses on the level design aspect of the games.
ModDB downscales uploaded video to 720p/30fps, so for the full uncompressed 1080p/60fps trailer, head over to Vimeo!

Yeah not working for me too
The mod came out in 2001.......
God at that moment I was not even born, and this mod came out is incredible,
One of the best mods I have ever played. The map and textures that are well done are immersed in a completely different atmosphere, the weapons that were interesting to shoot from them and so on ...... I just can’t describe all the charm of the mod better in it to play
Thanks to the developers of this mod for the great work, you gave a lot of good impressions and memories to many half-life fans.
I really love the addition Poke646: Vendetta, it is even better than the first part, unfortunately, a bit short. Would love a third part! Especially the scene with the train when driving up to the building was an amazing moment, and I loved the following design of the lobby as well. Really awesome experience, thanks!
This mod is just awesome! It totally catches the vibe from the original Half-Life and lets you explore it with a new perspective. Thank you so much for creating this masterpiece.
PS: I just needed the noclip cheat for 3 long jumps (from stairs to the ventilation shaft, from the hanging box over the wall and in XEN), since they somehow did not work for me, but that is a very small detail with I just want to mention in passing
nice visuals with some BS gameplay discisions. could be worse, could definitely be better. ill be playing vendetta later on
I thought Black Mesa was nuked not go in shutdown.
Who says mods are supposed to adhere to canon?
Well in the lore the government and the black ops's HL1 did it, Poke646 *take* place outside of the facility in a another part of the world.
But it dontnt
