Half-Life: ReSrced is a mod for Half-Life, Opposing Force and Blue Shift that gives the game HD textures upscaled from the original low-res textures using advanced AI-powered software. Combined with detail textures and support for a variety of HD model packs for Half-Life and its expansion packs, ReSrced makes the classic game look sharp and modern, while keeping true to the original aesthetic.
To make this possible Half-Life: ReSrced runs on the open-source Xash3D FWGS engine. While it's not as plug-and-play as a regular mod for the Steam version of Half-Life, I have made a step-by-step installation instruction that will make the process quite easy. Believe me, it's well worth the effort.

Half-Life: ReSrced is full of interesting features, that I'll explain below.
Half-Life: ReSrced supports both the original Half-Life, as well as its expansion packs Opposing Force and Blue Shift. I have played through all three games just to be sure that they could be finished in this new engine. Half-Life plays perfectly and there only a few minor issues with Blue Shift/Opposing Force.
ReSrced completely revamps the textures of Half-Life and its expansions. All of the textures now have 4 times the resolution of the original version.
Almost all of the thousands of textures have been upscaled. The exceptions are transparent textures (railings, grates, etc.), a few small animated textures that didn't look good when upscaled.
All Black Mesa skyboxes have been upscaled as well, giving the distant mesas of New Mexico more detail than before.
The nebulous skyboxes of Xen haven't been changed, as those looked better when not upscaled.
Detail textures are textures that add high-resolution detail to other textures. This helps the game world to look detailed even when viewed up close.
ReSrced supports HD model textures for three types of models:
This last one might not be familiar to you. This is a fan-made compilation mostly sourced from the PS2 version of Half-Life. This what is shown in the trailer and screenshots of this mod.
The magic behind Half-Life: ReSrced was made possible with the AI upscaling tool AI Gigapixel. Using state of the art AI neural networks, this upscaling program tries to emulate the detail the original renders would have had. This helps the new visuals to come as close to a higher resolution re-rendering of the original as possible with current technology.

Note: in the readme file included with the mod file I included the wrong name and URL for High Definition 2 Pack. Use this link. It is correct in the online install guide.

Hi there!
As far as I saw — quite a great job you've done! Thanks a lot!
But dudes, there one obious bug that no one has pointed out for about almost a year!?? Seriously?
Installing Super HD model pack, and adding an HD materials caused the scientist.. way funny glitching
Sun9-72.userapi.com
Sun9-71.userapi.com
That texture in materials folder, has a resolution of 512x512. It's upscaled original + black bar at the bottom...
Yet the original one is 256x192
Sun9-25.userapi.com
So scalled 2x should be 512x384
(Looks like some texture alingment in that very models differs from others, so the wrong texture left unnoticed)
Sun9-71.userapi.com
And the scientist's pants also have that issue.
Sun9-41.userapi.com
Scientists are on style, yay!
I cut a texture by my own (384px. Couple of pixel rows got cut out!)
Sun9-55.userapi.com
and everything got to normal
Sun9-43.userapi.com
I didn't played for a 5 minutes after first scientist, hope there will no same issues firther.
Keep it up! I really adore modern AI texture filtering, because no one, even the exact develoders, can't redraw everything as belieavable as AI Scaling does.
Does anyone know how to disable the line of text that gets into the screenshots? It says "xash fwgs 48/0.19.2 build 1201 release win32- i386" in the bottom right corner whenever I make a screenshot and I think somehow it should be possible to disable that considering that the screenshots I see of this mod don't have that line of text displayed. So if someone could help me with this I would very much appreciate it because to me it is a very annoying line of text. I somehow think there is something in the .cfg file but for the life of me I dont know what.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Can I use this mod with Brutal Half Life?
You can use the map textures, but sadly that's about it.
Sadly you can't
isn't there an easier method to make this work?
Does this work with the latest Xash3D builds or only the Xash3D FWGS build included in the installation folder you gave? See, I'd like to play with my own GoldSrc saves but that is not currently compatible with Xash3D FWGS
If possible for Android, please make a video on how to install it.
(I use the WON files and the 0.20 version)
Extract the mod to the xash directory that you created, open the Xash FWGS app and put in the command line arguments -game (folder for the resrced mod), works fine for me
Can you please in more detail?
