First off, here's a trailer for you guys:
So next week is the release for HL:R, and the game is getting polished and what not for the community. Also I've been setting the website up to have a section for updates, patches, and addons to customizes the sounds and the models. These will all be in installers that will put everything in the correct folders so making it easier to add files.
And what of the future you scream at me scaring the neighbors dog. Well, version 4 is a possibility. And my current Goldsrc project that I haven't talked about is getting more skilled in map making so Re-making maps for version 4 can be a reality. But that might be another year or two down the road. well thats all I got on my mind to say about the mod at the moment.
Also I just to thank all the many people who helped me with this mod!! I've listed all the people who helped, and your names will be in the readme, and in the gui menu. But again, thanks for the help!!
Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
EDIT (MARCH 2012):
I am currently working on the 3.1 patch. I will try to fix any problems that people have been having.
Also, does anyone know the code to add hl2 lazy weapons? If so, please drop me a PM.
Thanks!
//EDIT (JULY 2012)
I got more work done for the 3.1 patch. On the website I said that 3.1 would be it's own release since it would have problems if it was merged with the base 3.0 release. I also updated to a modified version of Trinity 3.08f, so many bug fixes with the client have been fixed. I've added a few little things to the code, might post a media update soon.
Posting more news on whats to come for the newest version of HL: Redux.
Getting more work done for the next version of HL:R. I have a new member who is helping out with the mod in general. Also I might have found a coder...

Nice mod, I really like the idea of full use of detail textures system, and the addition of the HL:Rebirth Engine. Good things: Totally new engine, featuring realistic movements & pain reception (such as ringing ears), adjustable bloom, advanced particle system, shadows, enhanced simple physics, and a totally balanced arsenal wich incudes a new weapon. Bad things (yes, there's bad things): Sometimes the bloom is too much bright to the player's eye, causing the user quit it, and... without the…

So I'm an idiot and forgot to save my valve files, I verified it and uninstalled and nothing happened, help.
Nevermind, fixed it.
This mod is good but. The scientists texture is really sucks.
Look at their face. It's really very bad. But scientists textures in the redux v2.5 was much better.
I don't think version 3.0 is fully compliant with the CD version of HL as the description suggests using. It plays fine in the first few maps but eventually crashes during a map change. I didn't try the older versions.
Although I couldn't play too far into the mod, I did notice something that was very distracting; Eli. Porting Eli over from HL2 was interesting but replacing the default black scientist with him was not a good choice IMO.
I think I would have been better to only use Eli sparingly as a replacement for a few of the scientists in scripted scenes Freeman meets - just like what was done by using him as the scientist arguing with the Gman in the office. Having him pop up constantly was a little odd.
Other than that, it seemed to be a good mod, aside from the fact that it crashes during map changes. :)
I got bored and started up HL Redux again and this time when I loaded my save I was able to get to the next map without a crash.
I've played a bit more now and yeah, I love all the new enhancements this mod brings to HL, but I really don't like the overly bright environments.
Is there a fix for that? Like a console variable I can switch off maybe? If not for the bright environments this mod would be nearly perfect....
Can be run on xash3d or not?
Is the code for viewmodel sway available somewhere, id love to implement it into my mod!
Can you port this to Android?
you just install the mod through xash and make a mod shortcut for your desktop
So, will this mod EVER be updated to work on the current version of the game?
This mod its ended.
