You are Kovac, a senior agent in the covert Special Black Operations unit. You're deployed to Black Mesa to halt the next phase of the science team's plan after HECU forces are unsuccessful in stopping Freeman from launching the Omega Satellite delivery rocket... ...but you fail, the procedure ends up creating massive portal storms in the sky sending you and your team through a void to oblivion and back. You wake up almost twenty four hours later; the military has withdrawn, and everyone and everything besides your fellow Black Operators are now a target. To make matters worse, another hostile and more powerful alien faction has appeared in the chaos, further complicating the situation. The incident can no longer be contained, you must link up with other Black Ops units and prepare to wipe the facility from the map once and for all...
The Nihilanth is dead.
The Vortigaunts have been freed from enslavement, thanks to the one "Freeman", no longer bound by collar and shackles. Now connected via the Vortessence, events past, present and future are clear once again. In this moment of unified freedom, a rebellion against those that oppressed their kind has begun.
Xen military forces are in disarray. The Controllers, dependent on the psychic connection to their master, are slowly dying now that the link has been permanently severed. The Alien Grunts, engineered soley for the purpose of war, are soldiers without orders, their large numbers still no match for the newly liberated and all powerful Vortigaunts.
Kovac finds himself in the Borderworld as it escalates into a Civil Conflict, no communications, no backup, just one man surviving amongst the chaos that is unfolding...

beautiful :)
Civil war on Xen after Nihilianth's death?
Why isn't this part of the lore?:(
You're not right. Marc Leidlaw, former main storywriter of Half life said himself, that there is no canon in half-life. Its ambiguous,so feel free to add this to the lore if you want. Valve's stance on the issue of canonicity and lore is neutral
There it is again, my "favorite" arguement.
By that logic Crack-Life is also canon.
It wouldn't really be a half life mod without xen chapters :)
Wow that premise sounds amazing. I always wondered what might've happened on XEN after Freeman left.
I hope we get to see the race x world too
But nonetheless keep up the great work and good luck on further development
I can't seem to find any answer on this, and this is the most recent post on the page so. Will there be any voice for the allied black operators? Either as entirely new voice acting, spliced/editted existing voicelines, incomprehensible radio garble noises, or just plain silence? Since they're seemily going to be a-big part of the game atleast in the beginning and in my opinion the chatter of the HECU grunts in Opposing Force was one of the things that made the expansion so memorable. Thanks in advance.
New voices for Male and Female Black Operators, both on the radio communications and in person!
Maybe you have read my comment before i dont know if you did but i got a suggestion. I think a 'calculator' custom font can fit this mod's HUD very well, I mean just look at it if you have a calculator and look at its font. I think it should fit very well. I mean i recommend using a different HUD that is not the opposing force one. I also recommend updating the poster of the mod later. You better write the 'HALF-LIFE'title with orange instead of red. Because all expansion packs wrote it with orange, even Counter-Strike. I want your mod to be one of my favorite like all hl1 games. I want everything of it to look that much quality and look official. Thank you if you are reading this.
