GMDX V10 is a community made update for the GMDX mod. It features over 1400 new changes, in areas ranging from artistic direction to deepened function, and even bug fixing and attempts to reinforce adherence to canon. It's been built to have zero obligation (should a user not prefer it) by using a separate installation and save directory. Many save files are supported retroactively, although some hiccups do occur, as this was not a strictly intended feature. In our opinion, the game looks better, runs better, is balanced better. If you're looking for a way to facelift Vanilla or simply touch up GMDX, we think you'll enjoy what we bring to the table with v10. By the community, for the community.

MessageLog:"A common issue with installation users report is the use of ALAudio audio device. This device cannot be removed from the bundle [despite its numerous issues] due to it pre-existing within the game's files. However Galaxy audio is being recommended as the selection going forward and its data was edited last update to make it picked less often.

This article details what issue ALAudio users may see and how to switch to Galaxy after first time setup has already been ran.

Common Issues May Include:
*Music modes not remembering the saved position and restarting ambient music needlessly.
*Audio lag, freezing, or artefacts.
*Potential crashes
*Bad lip syncing appearance

To fix this there are a few methods. The most reliable method however is to find your Deus Ex installation location. In your 'DeusEx' or 'Deus Ex' folder find the 'System' subfolder. After installation and first time setup a file called 'GMDXv10.ini' or 'GMDXv10' [configuration settings] may be present. Edit this in an application such as {notepad, wordpad, notepad++, etc} and open it. Find the '[Engine.Engine]' heading section. The second line from the top should begin with 'AudioDevice='. Make sure it reads: 'AudioDevice=Galaxy.GalaxyAudioSubsystem' and NOT 'AudioDevice=ALAudio.ALAudioSubsystem. This should remedy the issue the next time the game is launched. Make sure the game is not running while making these changes. That is all.

Edit[1]: A more elegant method is to use the 'Preferences' console command in game. Type T and erase "say". Write "Preferences" and press enter. A popup will appear with various pulldowns and collapsible categories. Under the 'Drivers' tab find 'AudioDevice' and pick 'Galaxy 3D Audio for Windows' from the pulldown. Restart the game manually. This method is much more user friendly according to Unit's data.

Hello MMCleanerBot.

I would like to call your attention on a post made at GOG by an user who is saying the following:

"They messed up augs in v10.

By the time you first get the synthetic heart / power recirculator canister, you can already have all your torso slots used up, as I have (environmental resistance, energy shield, metabolic enhancement). This isn't possible in vanilla (unless you decide to install another aug from environmental resistance / aqualung aug but it is in the same room in the UC chamber together with the heart / recirculator canister so..)"

Could you perhaps tell us whether this claim has any merit?

Sorry English is not my fist language.
All the GMFX options in the menu are disabled and if i set to enabled all of them, they simply doesn't work, and after i quit and then enter again in the GMFX menu they reset all their status to disabled.

In the original deus ex when you point an near object or an npc, the name of it appear it in the upper left corner of the "panel".
Here an example "NSF Terrorist" : Reversegaming2000.files.wordpress.com
Now i stil have the "panel" but not the name of the object/NPC.

If you have changed the language away from v10 and to iit this could explain some of these issues unless reverted back. The default italian language file will not have entries for some objects or other text."

I don't use kentie launcher, I explored the GMFX ini file and i saw that i cant manually force these options from there.

Yes i was the Guest and i was not able to remove the comment. But i was able to set the language in italian before your answer doing the exacly thing that you said in your comment.

My default italian version had the entries that i mentioned.

I started anyway to play this mod and it works good it's a very beautiful job.

This two thing that doesn't work are not a very big problem. If there no solution is ok and i want to Thank you for your help.

MessageLog:"The entries will be in the DeusEx.v10 file for certain text fields. They appear in no particular order. However any missing entries can most easily be found using a text comparing tool. Conversation and datalink entries are stored by another means that I am not familiar with. Item names within maps such as the names to nano keys are stored in the map itself. Sometimes you can have localization files built for the map and not just a game package. However I am not familiar with the method for doing this either. This is all I can help with for now. Sorry."

Another question, Why the regeneration augmentation doensn't work? I activate it and the it's shut off without healing me.
