Concept of the DSC:

- maximum available graphics quality.

DSC uses absolutely all the technologies available in gzdoom. Development is carried out on the test builds of the engine and at any time synchronized with the new features of future versions. The developers guarantee that at the time of release - DSC will use absolutely all the graphical features of GZdoom.
For ease of launch, DSC package will contain the latest 32/64 bit versions of GZdoom.

- elastic, mod-friendly gameplay with an automatic increase if difficulty and some RPG elements.

DSC uses a dynamic system of monsters and items spawn on the map, which depends on the overall progress in each episode of the game.
DSC is designed in such a way that any mod that works adequately on the original doom2 cards will work correctly in DSC as well.
The DSC uses a rank system. There are achievements which depend on the number of murders committed by the player throughout the game and add some additional ability according to your current rank.

- DSC is infinite.

Each map of each episode can be played any number of times - without starting the game from begin.
Each time you play any map you will receive a different set of monsters. Each time harder and more.
At the same time you will receive new ranks with their abilities.
Each time receiving a larger number of enemies you have will be the appropriate enhance to deal with them.

Greetings

played the mod when it was released ... here is my subjective 2 cents ... after a long long time

Positive observations:

1) separate weapon mods & monster mutator mods compatibility .. check .. very very thumbs up
2) Quake 3 Arena & team Arena Nostalgia ... check ... this definitely highlights GZDoom source port capabilities ... thumbs up
3) Doom slayer oriented .. memory archives .. dimension .. check ... hmmm the arenas matched the story archives ... thumbs up
4) Possible Hinted relation of Chutulu Lords and Hell Demon Overlords .. check ... deserves more expansion upon ... very thumbs up on provided content
5) Revisit to majority of levels unlocked ... check .. uhhh fits the quake 3 arena style game play ... thumbs up
6) Permanent Power up runes/quirks provided by this mod ... good ... thumbs up

Expectations after playing it for 1st time:

7) Each sub stage arena could have had end wave boss with lore wise text to expand upon doom slayer contempt by the hell army generals and in command

8) my memory is hazy but for vanilla doom only there could have bben temp power runes provided until higher tier permanent rune power is unlocked ...

9) Should also have had the human evil incarnates centric story plot .. yes lang lebe der fahrer ... in ewiger verdammung

10) Overall with the work provided .. it is an achievement in it self ... so job well done ... but it is still lacking the full feel of quake 3 arena or the present GZD's quake champion edition only it being Doom Slayer or Self-insert protagonist vs Hell's army minus human evil incarnates

My Score : score are for critics ... i am here to just share my opinion and appreciation of the mod ...

I was trying out this mappack on last year's fall months and I was not fully happy when I found out this mod has the arena-wave gameplay on all levels.
I honestly write that this was not cool as was presented in the trailer video.

I'm having trouble with the saints. I can't get them to rise. We finished the waves and the saint just keeps floating around, inside the rising chamber. I've tried loading a previous save, which helped me with the 2nd saint but apparently it won't work with saint no. 3

Well it sure looks good. But game play is boring. Wave based isn't my thing though, but if you like Doom and wave based demon slaughter, this has you more than covered.

Anyway the chronicles can be played on a mac?

I tried loading different files with gzdoom but nothing, I always get fatal errors.

Can anybody help?

Great mod! I found a bug on map 10, after the battle were you must survive for 300 seconds, the air counter persists, buy there are no air canisters. Maybe it bugged couse I used a trick: droped to the lava, called the elevator, and waited safely on that building for the countdown to finish. Reloading or exiting the game and entering again didnt work.
