Concept of the DSC:

- maximum available graphics quality.

DSC uses absolutely all the technologies available in gzdoom. Development is carried out on the test builds of the engine and at any time synchronized with the new features of future versions. The developers guarantee that at the time of release - DSC will use absolutely all the graphical features of GZdoom.
For ease of launch, DSC package will contain the latest 32/64 bit versions of GZdoom.

- elastic, mod-friendly gameplay with an automatic increase if difficulty and some RPG elements.

DSC uses a dynamic system of monsters and items spawn on the map, which depends on the overall progress in each episode of the game.
DSC is designed in such a way that any mod that works adequately on the original doom2 cards will work correctly in DSC as well.
The DSC uses a rank system. There are achievements which depend on the number of murders committed by the player throughout the game and add some additional ability according to your current rank.

- DSC is infinite.

Each map of each episode can be played any number of times - without starting the game from begin.
Each time you play any map you will receive a different set of monsters. Each time harder and more.
At the same time you will receive new ranks with their abilities.
Each time receiving a larger number of enemies you have will be the appropriate enhance to deal with them.

It definitely has little glitches here and there, but honestly I love it! Then again, I'm a noob with wads/mods, though been loving Doom itself since 1993... I guess I'm a little late to all the fun, huh? lol

I keep checking back every few days to see if there's an update before I dive deeper into this.

I swore to finish DSC with BD 21 in Ultra Violence without dying once.

Well again and after two weeks of hard work, the passage of 300 seconds got the better of me despite everything I could do to try to pass it, including coming up with the level "Doom Slayer" .

I tried to kill only the Archviles, nothing to do.

DSC + no death + Brutal Doom 21 on ultra violence = challenge completely impossible.

dsc is a mod that I appreciate but I think a serious update is needed, especially on this passage to tear hair.

I just finished this mod tonight (v1.0) and had a blast with it! I didn't think I would like it that much because it's an invasion-mod but I wanted to at least try since it looks amazing. I was immediately hooked! I played with Brutal Doom 64 because it I think it suits the atmosphere well. I highly recommend to at least try this mod. :)

Hi there. Really, really great work. Obviously.

Bug: With Combined arms 1.4 and Harms 1.1. -- First level with "prisoned saint", says I have 15 monsters left to kill (after first time freeing the saintly-light-orb-thingy), but everything seems quite dead to me. Ran around, don't see no switches or nothing.
Re-tried the map, and it said I have 14 left to kill. Yay.

Peeves:
1. If I want to use resurrect, let me: is this a map-pack, to run gameplay and-or monster mods on, or not? Because this is not behaving that way: given the variations possible, impossible situations WILL arise.
You do not have to do this, but then I really will not play your map - if I wanted a nanny, I would identify as a baby and go buy an adult nappy, and hire one. Now, if there were zero bugs, and you could 100.000% guarantee that there would never be ANY impossible situations, then you could do whatever the hell you want. But there is no way on earth you could do that, now is there.
2. Kindly do something like give a console command to go onto the next step in the play-sequence.
3. Oh, and when the game does that thing where it locks you as game slows to a crawl, kindly FIRST kill all remaining monsters... I do not appreciate being killed when I cannot either move or see what the hell is going on.

In short, getting stuck like this, after playing for quite a while, is really not fun. Bugs happen, and being treated like a child is really not helping my calmness. I will wait for the next version, and try again. And if it does the same siit again, I will never try it again. Shrug. I have no idea why you did not plan for these basic contingencies.

PS: If I'm being a ******* and missing the obvious, then great clouds of wafting apologies.

i see you're a bit sensitive when it comes to game design... just like me
1. i got stuck in that area too, i used noclip to scout around and found that the monsters were spawned in another room which i couldn't get in because obviously, the mod locked all the doors before the wave even started
2. the mod lets you resurrect... just punishes you by starting over and saves immediately if you don't have any save other than the autosave, you're screwed. actually, i think it's a bit of a dickmove to punish the player for cheating a single-player game. how a player plays it is none of the dev's business, it's a single-player game!! i gave it 10/10 initially but when i found out about this cheat-proof thing, i stopped playing it immediately. well no i didn't stop, i quit and i gave it a finger and now it's not just 0/10, it's far below that.
3. reduce the resolution scale and turn off all the eye-candies is the best advice i can give you

p.s. when i play a single-player game, i just want to have fun with myself i don't give a finger about your no-cheat gaming or any bullcrap gaming ideology thing. i really don't understand why none of the brilliant game developers who can make something like a complex, good-looking video game just can't figure out something this simple.

I just keep DSC-1.0.pk3 and the BD-file in my GZDOOM-folder, open gzdoom.ini and under [Global.Autoload] I add the following lines:
Path=$PROGDIR/bd21rc1fix.pk3
Path=$PROGDIR/DSC-1.0.pk3

The order are important and I just tested with the latest version of Brutal Doom (Aug 29 2018).

Im having an issue where there are no sprites in openGL mode but they are present in the others.

I have figured out the issue with the sprites, its an issue with amd's drivers. If id want to play this id have to roll back pretty far, so until either the game or the drivers are updated this will have to wait
