This is the continuation of Sergeant Mark IV's Brutal Hexen mod. Well, after been seemingly abandoned for a few years, we have continued Brutal HeXen where Sarge and Seidolon has left off.
Brutal Hexen is updated on the community forum named, NZDOOM.net, a place where everybody is welcome to join.

It's a great mod, but, dude, please, nerf Afrits, it's impossible to play for Baratrus without frustration when meeting Afrits and Wendigo (og problem)
Greetings, thanks for the feedback much appreciated. You can block projectiles with the shield, weapon 1 for all classes (Hold AltFire RMB) You may need to set this in the control options if you don't allocate the included .ini

I have just done a run with cleric.
I have been soft lock at Hub 4 end boss, when boss spawn it immediatly dies and the exit is not appearing.
Mana comsuption of weapon 3 (firestorm) versus mana comsumption is not dealing enough damage.
Serpent staff don't consume mana unless I attack close range.
Flechette (gaz) is not dealing enough damage.
Afrit are to strong early game (impossible to block attack and then counter attack... they are too fast)
Some wiki would be a plus on how to grow your character
Crafting require you to select ingredient wich is a pain
So I was spamming serpent staff all along the game without any other viable strategy.

Greetings, thanks for the feedback much appreciated. The Hub4 boss, this is not the issue of Brutal Hexen, its a bug in the OG Hexen.WAD which the MegaWAD fixes these issues and many other bugs. The forum thread states this exact issue.
Serpent staff converts mana to health in close proximity but I have edited this to also use mana with primary/alt fire for the next main update.
Flechette damage can be increased by allocating stat points into the Tactical Skill line.
Block Afrit attacks and then throw a flechette, Cleric has the poison attribute and is powerful against Afrits, also stuns.
I suggest you read the Brutal Hexen Starter Guide over on NZDOOM.

What source ports is this compatible with?

You can scale the HUD with '-' and '+' but requires added elements which will be fixed for the next main update.
