Is there any significant difference between the two versions besides the Forgotten and CABAL factions?

I honestly really like the way you're going with this. I love that infantry squads for GDI can now have medics, improving survivability. I also like how you handled the laser capacitor upgrade for the scorpion.
I have a question. One of the biggest gripes I had with the game is how cripplingly overspecialized all of the units have to be, like how the pitbull has only its rocket launchers and the predator only its main gun. Would it possible to give them something like a machinegun to these units, for example, sort of like the harvester's light machine gun to engage infantry?
I agree, although I always found it funny how one suddenly has an army of what is essentially MG troopers.
I have a question. What does the "none" option in the update tab of the launcher mean?
Are those... the GDI foxholes? Or actual, honest-to-god bunkers for GDI?
How do you activate the feature of the research? I've looked in the game options of the skirmish map but I find nothing, how do get that feature to work?
I was using the quicklaunch, yes. I tried using the other shortcut and managed to get it running. I believe that's what the issue was. Thanks for the help.
Hello, I have a bit of a problem: I'm getting the DirectX 8.1 error whenever I try to start the mod. I tried the solutions offered in the tutorial section but it didn't help me. I have the shortcuts set to the compatibility mode with Windows XP Service Pack 3 and to run as an administrator but I still get the error. When I try to run the game from the original shortcut I get no errors at all, I think I may have to do with the shaders the mod uses but I'm not sure.
I have a small question: In the campaign, in the mission where you have to stop some Blood Ravens from destroying a town in the desert, the heavy bolter of the razorback is pretty much OP. It kills most units and heroes in a few shots. I haven't tried it in other game modes due to irl issues so; does this happen only in this level or is it that the razorback really is that strong now?
Nevermind found the problem
I vote for an early release. As others have already said, Your project is quite ambitious and wide in scope, I would recommend releasing the mod in smaller parts.
The main advantage that I see from this method will be player feedback.
Kinda looks like the Custodes from afar.
I have a question: Is there a way to reduce the FPS in the game with patch 1.06? Mine has it capped at 38, and the game runs too fast. I tried editing some files but the only result was a crash to desktop.
I also got a PM with the same thing. Wonder how many people got it as well.
That probably was the most unfitting music (in my opinion) for the context, but I like it anyway.
Holy crap. Definitely doesn't look like it came almost 10 years ago.
Thanks for the info! It's really great to know that the campaign hasn't been left out.
I believe this is something that has been asked perhaps a million times already, but I spent too much time away from the community to keep myself up to date regarding current events; which leads me to asking this question:
Is the Campaign still being cosidered to be added at one point in the future? Or has it been completely scrapped?
Oh, and before I forget, I wanted to tell you people that of all the mods I've played on DOW, yours makes the Space Marines actually feel like what they are, I've had games where I kill dozens of flashlight guys with a couple squads and lots of micro-management. Really, great job!
Didn't they put deepstrike turrets?
I have a problem: For some reason, the tooltip text for all of the added units, powers and buildings appears as "MISSING TEXT," or something like that. What's worse, all of the added units and buildings are pretty much invisible, no models at all. The only unit so far that has anything close to a model is the Hammerhead, but it is only a white rectangle that flies.
Any help please, to solve this problem?
Question: Is this version campaign friendly?
Holy mother! That looks wonderful!
All right then, thanks much.
Ok, I hope you can forgive my ignorance but I have a small doubt: Do I have to install this update over the already installed mod or do I have to uninstall the old version and install this one in its place?
Also, another question: What about siege weapons? I'm not just talking about a reskining, I'm talking about making them unique for each civilization, although I wonder, what kind of differences could there be between them? I'm guessing some kind of ornament or stuff like that, and if you want to go into even more detail, change the weapon's wooden frame color to reflect the different types of wood, though that would be going too far I think.
Now THOSE are some high-quality icons! Love them.
I have a question: I assume this to be a total conversion, haven't been up to date with the mod's development so I ask, to what extent do you plan change the game? I'm talking in the sense of UI and elements of similar nature, like or example: the Native village icon at the top-right corner.
I'm glad to see that the cloaking field is actually visible.
I have to ask, What plans do you have for Mexico?
