Good information to share STALKER!

It really is a shame that many of the negative reviewers (as usual) have rated this mod in an emotional way rather than a simple critical way and thus skewed this mod lower than I personally feel it should be. The featured low review states information about the mod which is not even true!

Opinions are like you know what though and mine is of course included.

Yes, I also really enjoy a lot of the descriptions though I know a lot of them by memory now. :( That is only natural though eh?

Yes, I installed my non Steam version in my Games folder which is C:\Games and so not in the program files and I rarely have CTD issues except for occasional memory ones. I use a Pavillion g6 laptop with an integrated graphics card though so they come a lot less than I would have expected!

The SEVA is my favorite suit for Sniper (for times when my Ghillie just is not up to the challenge) and for Scout. Yes it is not as good for anomaly hunting as the regular scientist suit but I find it is good enough and the extra protection in combat more than makes up for loss in anomaly defense.

The biggest loss to me is the fact that I lose the awesome 5 slots that the sci suit has but the SEVA is good enough again imo.

Not least of all is the speed of your run after (even before) upgrading ergonomics in the final tier. It costs a lot to get the suit upgraded to that level but I always do for the run speed as well as the improved anomaly defense. Night vision is always great too of course and the helmet has a clean view in comparison to some other helmets.

TLDR The SEVA is the coolest my friend!

Have you played the original game a lot? Like I said, if you know the original game inside and out then you can avoid a lot of the pitfalls that seem to hold back a lot of players who post on here with the same experience you describe.

Specifically I mean information such as stash locations, quest locations and how to solve them etc etc. If you are not a veteran of CoP then MISERY will truly be hard to beat.

If you are a veteran then I can share some more tips for you to try. Go grab as many stashes as you know exist as they can really get your nest egg growing in the beginning of the game. I can net around 75k bucks just on stashes alone in the first area with the newest patch installed. I just did this moments ago actually lol. Remember too that finding helicopter crash sites seems to get the merchants to sell you more gear while faction sympathetic NPCs such as Beard and Owl will raise and lower prices based on which factions you help along your way.

Finally, it is really weird you seem to be having an empty zone to stalk as I seem to notice many more groups wandering about (getting killed so I can loot em!) since I updated to 2.1.1

Part of the difficulty IS the realism. lol

The mod is meant to be very difficult in order to provide jaded STALKERS with a challenge that vanilla CoP does not provide anymore. The very things you list as negative are in fact the draws that attract those like myself who were bored with vanilla and are looking for a new CoP experience.

You are not forced to do anything besides the story missions in CoP as well as in MISERY. You should try to look for some stashes perhaps in order to supplement your cash flow or after procuring a shotgun you could try hunting mutants for their parts.

The area will fill up and you will notice this to great extent not long after spending a decent amount of time (I do not know exactly when) in the Zone. I do not know why you feel the mutants are not worth hunting as when put together with the money you can make selling loot or stash contents they are a great way to add to the overall profits you can make while running around raising money.

There is no one activity you can do in order to make enough money to buy top line gear soon after starting the game as in vanilla. Each of these activities supplement each other as individual parts of a grand strategy used in order to someday obtain that bad *** suit for sale you have your eyes on or whatever else you wish to buy.

They really did not fight in Normandy. They were too busy fighting the Japanese in the Pacific with the Navy.

Some marines worked with OSS (this office became the CIA) to on sabotage missions up to and right after the landings though so in that particular case a few Marines did fight at Normandy around the 6th of June.

Im pretty certain in MISERY all of those types of things are disabled for the sake of difficulty. They do make the game pretty damn easy. MISERY + anything not sharp and dangerous/exlosive and/or poisonous/mind warping in nature = False after all

I recall reading on here he was causing crashes and/or conflicts of some kind but I think the Dev is bringing him back once those are ironed out.
