I have a question about Darthmod archers. Perhaps some fellow modders can answer this?

Archers in Darthmod fire continuesly. Out of curiousity, I want to look into the code that makes them do so but I can't find it. I only found a reference in the change log:

Patch 1.65
"Archers finally being optimised due to the unlock of the crucial file. Reload faster, fire with spread and more random aiming (no homing)... many things added there to make them as they should."

Any light on this matter would be greatly appreciated since i've been unnable to find the file they speak of.

Probably a stupid question but for some reason, installing MOS deletes some original TATW custom battle maps. Another example is when I play on Rammas Echor and the wall doesnt spawn at all like in TATW. Been googling for awhile now, could someone answer this for me? Is it just me?

I'm just a coder on the team but, that IS actually possible. Sins uses 3 sounds mainly. 1. Firing the weapon from ship. 2. Travel sound 3. explosion sound.
The explosion sound can be replaced with radio chatter.

If you're using windows, make sure your battery settings are set to high performance. Having it on power-saving mode could be the cause. If not, then idk

It's very unlikely that you're missing something unless you messed with the files. If the mod won't run through ingame/settings/mods, try activating the mod manually .

must be a problem on your end…it doesnt sound like something a mod would do to your game. Maybe reinstall the game or the components it uses?

Maybe they didn't like the fact that he said Atlantis was better?
I actually liked Atlantis more than SGU and SG1 because Atlantis really felt like what SG1 was building towards. The mystery and technology surrounding atlantis, ZPM's, Drones, Weapons. Discovering some ancient satellite, finding another city ship.

Discovery, Technology and stargates. That's what gave me the real stargate feeling.
Which SGU ruined pretty much after a few episodes… I only wanted to know what they'd find at the end of the voyage.

don't be so dramatic, I in fact agree with you. I saw the previous texture and I think this is indeed a great improvement, but it's still not there yet.

As for downvotes and stuff, currently you have 3 up votes on my screen. So don't even bother with that.

For the guy in charge of textures, I hope my critisism does not offend you.
The reason I think it's not finished is because:
- In the series they used a more brown/orangish colour, unlike the red used here. Then again I can imagine that it was a deliberate decision because in the series the ships were insanely old, colours may change.
- The original lantean ships actually had more parts of the ship in brown/orange than currently displayed. Such as the fins just behind the middle of the ship. Then again, it's just details.
- Also the armor plating looks kinda swamp-like green while I'd expect grey (this may be due to lighting effects/shaders, i don't know)

I'm just giving my opinion and I compared this with a few googled images. I loved the Aurora class in the series so maybe I'm just being a fanboy here.

Other than the above, I love the front part of the ship, it's perfect. The details are nice, just wish there were more because I get the odd feeling that the human ships had more love in the making. Thanks for the good work and keep it up!

Edit: the armor plating of the Destiny capital looks exactly how I'd expect the Aurora's armor to look. That ship is really damn well textured.

just some minor bugs i found, astroiddef.astroiddef has a wrong number assigned to the ammount of meshes , Axeldude_PLANETBONUS_LVL0_Blizzards keeps being named either blizards or blizzards in a lot of files. The new galaxy maps (excluding the random ones) are missing the isMadVasariPlayer command in the player section. Research buttons not showing up. The main menu is missing 2 buttons (file: SteamMainMenuScreen).

You probably already fixed all of it but i felt like mentioning it anyway ^^ If u need someone to help bug fixing and easy your work load i'd love to help

are you going to let the bombing ship spawn multiple dropships at the same time? one seems kinda lonely don't ya think ^^ like...3 or 5, maybe more depending on the scale compared to its owning ship, a ship with more bombing damage could sent more pelicans! :D (capitalships etc)

Well it's a siege class...so people would probly want a name that also SOUNDS heavy and built for destruction. In my opinion it will still have to be related to the other "epic" names (Galactica, Excelsior, Excalibur). Luckily I keep a list of shipnames I came up with or/and found in other games. Few suggestions on my part;

If you're going for a slow, destructive ship I'd suggest.
- Leviathan Battlecruiser
- Equinox Battlecruiser
- Nemisis Battlecruiser
- Hyperion Battlecruiser

If you're going for a fast, destructive ship, I'd suggest
- Daemon Battlecruiser
- Dauntless Battlecruiser
- Invictus Battlecruiser

yeah i see the problem..but on the other hand, i don't think people would mind only the CAPS being BSG while the frigates/cruisers are ur design (even tho applicability is affected). But I shouldn't really talk for what the BSG fans want, I like the current designs way more, just laying down an idea for all the we-want-bsg-back spam on each pic. (yes i know this post could be considered one)

I had a simmilar problem. It would point the area between 2 canons at the enemy, but the projectiles would be fired sideways from where the canons were actually looking at.

a sniper ship would be awesome. Like the TEC LRM frigate but with an ability to shift from long range to close quarter combat. Sadly I don't think the AI would be using this ability tho..
