Hi. Do you know if there is a way to unlock the GoA traits for ruler designer to have full-on customization? I have found a mod called "GoA: Unlimited" but it's from 2019 and doesn't seem to work 100% reading from the comments.

Thanks.

Hi Mr_Nygren. I've come back to play WTW in the current version and so far everything works good following your instructions. However, I notice that the undead factions lack siege weapons, despite them using corpse machines for that purpose in W3. And I seem to recall in an older version of the mod that the Forsaken at least had those corpse engines that they could fire at enemies.

What happened with that? Is it by design or are you going to add them in a later date? I think most of the factions do have sieges engines. Even the Trolls.

Very nice mod thus far, I overall enjoy it. But...I would enjoy it a lot more if not for some strange thing about this mod that I've never seen in any other Med2 mod I've played: nonsensical levels of unrest/public disorder.

I'm playing as the Jurchens and whenever I capture an enemy Ming settlement, no matter if I occupy, sack or even exterminate it, there is a huuuge percentage of fixed unrest in the 190 %. And I say "fixed", because no matter how many turns pass it won't drop. EVEN in castles/fortresses. It makes things very difficult since I have to maintain nearly a full stack of troops as garrison (tanking my economy) and/or drop the tax rate to the lowest possible. And it still in some cases leave me with a yellow face instead of green.

What seems to be the issue here? Am I the only one? Tried it even on Normal/Normal.

I enjoy this latest version (with the patch) a lot thus far. But there are 2 issues that I'm facing at the moment and I feel the need to provide a feedback:

1) Fire is blue for some reason.
2) I can't siege Markarth with Isran's army at all. The game CTD's.

Other than that, the mod runs sweet as of now.

Hey guys. I ask for your advice here, because I want to update and start playing TESTW again. Right now I have the base mod installed and patched to 1.6.0 (Tree Fix). I have noticed in its page that the latest update is 2.0.1. But I mainly want to play this submod. What do I install from here?

Thanks.

Awesome mod, though I do realize that it's still unfinished.

I have one serious problem with this mod though: It lags so much and if I keep right clicking and reading unit cards, clicking on things for some time in the campaign map....the game freezes. And no matter how many dozens of seconds I wait, it doesn't unfreeze. It's so annoying because I always have to manually reboot my PC, since nothing else works. I'm playing the main Conquest campaign.

I have Kingdoms and everything patched btw.

Do you really think I hadn't already installed the 4gb patch in kingdoms.exe before? I can play Warhammer Total War with 90% of the time not problems whatsoever...

Anyway, I found out that by not clicking anything into the popping advisor before any battle (not even the "X") makes so that the game doesn't present any CTD. Even though I have set advisor off in the campaign and game settings, he still appears in battles and it's quite annoying.

Hi. I was wondering if there is a way to combat the near constant CTDs in this mod. Especially when the battle map spawns you on top of mountains or very large fields and such.
I have a fresh download of WOW:TW 1.6 with the recent February fix on top of that. Playing as the Night Elves and fighting Naga.

EDIT: The mod is literally unplayable and it's a shame since the job that has been done on the units is excellent. But the moment one big unit (like a giant, dragon etc) appears on the battlefield and you approach it closely with the camera, the game CTDs, essentially making these units useless.
I have been playing this mod since previous releases. Every time I was let down by its numerous CTD issues and I deleted it. And I am seeing now that these issues still persist. Pity.

Could you tell us the roughest estimation of when the next version of the mod will be ready? Because I'm holding myself to wait until then to download it, even though I want to play the game.

Panos88 - - 29 comments @ Divide and Conquer

Sorry for the long post, but this thing has annoyed me since Third Age vanilla and continues through MOS and now DaC.

So I am playing as Mordor and have chosen to turtle myself since the units are crap in the beginning and I really want to prepare my war like Sauron did. That means building mines, roads and other production and military buildings everywhere I need to. I bottlenecked Gondor in Minas Morgul and Morannon and no one can pass that. Turn 40+, waiting for the barracks event, and I am making 8-9 k profit per turn and sit myself on top of 101000 gold without conquering a thing outside of Mordor.
Sweet.

But everywhere around me, my allies are slowly crumbling. Khand has even turned against me through Blue Wizards script shenanigans and I have to deal in two fronts now. But I can still produce armies no prob. The problem is that Gondor's doomstacks are coming non-stop. I have massacred them in a shitton of defensive sieges....but they just keep coming. They are the number 1 world power in military and I'm number 2 after all this. Granted, I haven't reached my full military potential. But what the hell?
Mordor is number 2? I know that the AI gets a lot of help, but this thing is completely anticlimactic. Gondor shouldn't be able to contest against Mordor after a while mano-a-mano. How could I feel like an all powerful Dark Lord bringing the end when I have to struggle through endless Gondor doomstacks? And they haven't even conquered Haradrim lands, Dol Amroth is doing that just fine. I have noticed that when you play as a Good or Evil faction, your allies will perform much less than usual. Why is that?

Don't you think that this is something that you should look into? Maybe a script or two here and there to make the player feel what is like to wield the power of Mordor in the Third Age? Because as of now, I'm struggling with the, supposedly, all-powerful Mordor.

Hi guys. I have some tips I'd like you to share with me in this version, because I think I could do better, on this subject:

How on earth do I make money in this mod?

Namely as any Chaos God. I am playing as Nurgle now for example and I'm struggling. I mean, I have eliminated Tzeentch but I am now at war with Khorne. And not a single Invasion has been called yet. Chaos Warriors upkeeps and costs are very high as well as their building costs. I can only build mines in Tzeentch's former citadel but they offer a measly +140. What generates money in this game and can I do it as a Chaos God.

Lastly, both Slaanesh and Khorne have Daemon Lords already spawned at them and I have none. What triggers it?

Mr Nygren nice work on the update. I have a few questions I'd like to ask:

1) Do you plan on adding banner carriers for standard units to give them an even more "militaristic" look?
2) Do you plan on giving each race a thematic custom campaign UI, like in Third Age for example? (Humans, Elves, Undead etc)
3) Do you plan on completing the unit cards for all factions?
4) Do you plan on dubbing character and unit voices in the campaign/battle map for each faction?

Sorry for the lot of questions.
Again, great job.

I did it. Made a new campaign and I disbanded them before starting the siege. Nothing changed. Could it be the Phoenixes? Damn, guess no Blood Elves campaign till this is fixed.

Thanks though anyway.

I would like to provide some feedback:

First off, I really love this mod. And the units are beautifully made (even though many still don't have custom images or descriptions in their profiles but I can imagine that's not currently so important). I play-tested The Forsaken and the Blood Elves after the recent version and I had a 76 turn fun campaign with The Forsaken (despite a one-time freeze in an open battle that made me restart my PC - I fought the battle again with no problem).

The Blood Elves campaign though...is unplayable. What I mean is that I can't siege a single settlement without my game CTDing when I am not auto-resolving it. Whenever I am in deployment phase and just move the camera over my units for a second or two, the game crushes and I'm thrown back to the desktop. And I suspect that it's not just the Blood Elves that have this issue.

A thematic custom campaign UI also for each faction (Men, Elves, Undead, Dwarves etc) would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards.

Ok I got it. It's still a beta after all.

I should also say that, while I have set the advisor OFF during the campaign map, the advisor icon automatically appears in the start of the battle. In which I click "X" to go away. Could it also contribute to the CTDs by any chance?

Oh ok I see. It's weird you don't know them though since they were amongst the most elite agents and soldiers of the Lich King. They were vampyr blood elves.

By the way, I have to report some feedback. I face a lot of CTDs in the latest beta version. These happen only in battles. I have downloaded all 3 files, watched your video and done everything it said. I had bought a CD version of Med2, which I activated through Steam. First time I am facing so much CTDs in a mod.

Again, thanks.

Hi guys, 2 questions:

1) What's the requirements/script for the Blood Elves to appear and be playable? (via console command)

2) Will the San'layn become their own faction and be playable? And, on to that, are there any San'layn presense in this mod? (units, characters etc)

Thanks.

I hope man. I really hope, because this mod has so much potential. The only thing missing was/is the promised Sabbat storyline (and maybe Diablerie). But CQM has now both of these. A collaboration would benefit the whole VTMB community.

I get that the Tremere's main focus is Thaumaturgy. Yet, a usual Tremere playthrough will casually have them mastering Dominate around lv 3. That's already 3/11 NPC's at such a mediocre level and without counting investment in other skills/talents. Plus, in order to take something from the diablerie you'll have to be weaker than your target in the skills/talents/disciplines aspect.

So just maximising your Dominate and diablerise, will both make you stronger AND save you points.

Panos88
Panos88 - - 29 comments @ VTMB: Clan Quest Mod

So I was reading the conditions of what it takes to fully diablerise the various NPCs and I got a question: all of them require you to have some specific stats in order to do so. Do you need to have only one of these stats at the proper level?

Because if that's the case, then a Ventrue, Tremere and Malkavian antitribu will have an unfair headstart since they naturally invest a lot of their points in Dominate/Dementation, and all conditions require at least one of these two for the diablerie to end smoothly.

EDIT: It seems that's the case since I playtested it. Seems a little unbalanced don't you think burgermeister?

So all these NPC's (ex. Brother Kanker, Jesebel etc) that you can diablerise after joining the Sabbat, have to just be alive as you doing so? Because I have initiated "Fun With Pestilence" but haven't killed anyone yet.

Also, before joining the Sabbat, can I do the Evil plague quest with the Hazmat guys for max edginess :P?

Mr_Nygren hi.

I was wondering, since I really want to play the proper/better polished mod, could we at least have a (very) rough estimate of when the official release of W:TW will happen? In the months perhaps? Or the next year?
The suspense is killing me.... :P

Thanks.

Thank you very much for your assistance. I have instead started a game of Night Elves in multi hotseat and I plan to buff them and wait when Lordaeron falls and The Forsaken spawn to take control of them.
Does it only have to be by the Scourge for the event to kick in though?

I am looking forward to see this mod after the beta being more polished and improved, as I believe it has potential and I like the work thus far.
