sorry man, i didnt explain correctly.
i was talking about the vanilla Shoc with no patches, was rolling down memory lane.
MOD RUNS AWESOME! Im very impressed! i followed all directions for install.

the below is probably user error-
i did have a crash after 3 hrs of playtime and i have the error log if you want it, im not concerned, mod runs really well.((edit: ill send you a PM of the log. i cant remember which part is relevant so ill copy the whole thing))

also, twice i glitched the keyboard, never saw this happen before. i had to unplug and re plug the keyboard to get it to respond (could just be win10)
- happens on rare occasions when im mashing the lean/strafe/aim/fire/toggle-crouch/low crouch.
again, prob just user error.

Just reinstalled win 10 and slipped the ol CD in.
for shi*ts and giggles i tried playing with no patches... crashed at the first shot at an npc lol, last i saw was the mid animation from the pistol recoil. Cant say i miss those damn x-ray engine errors!

i have LA DC and HD pack installed but im already well into the game, can i install the DLC in extended pack and not corrupt my saves? is there anything at all i can install from the extended pack without starting a new game?

Installed STCop first then Outfits then patch for STCoPWP compatibility.

Did a small amount of searching. One said there was a "show weapon" option in settings but i didnt see it.(might be vanilla menu?)
Played with 1st/3rd view as well as FOV, nothing.
Fresh game install as well as new game started.

Nashathedog has been around for a long time. he is a part of the small supporters of foreign MODs; helping some of us who are not bi/multilingual enjoy those MOD-teams productions when there is either a lack of interest on the devs, or time restrictions to create language support that never come to fruition.

he has helped provided links to some great oldies and all-in-one repacks as well as try to support those mega mods that are not always easy to complete (ex: design restrictions in the game play, REBORN being one of them; requiring out-of-game reading so you dont 'break' the game )
be difficult if you would like but your restrictions/ lack of interest, attitude doesn't help you with the many of us... you know, the folks who you made the mod for to play and enjoy your art?
i hope to one day enjoy your work with some English support... tracking.

i am thinking of trying REBORN out again. i really did love its atmosphere and gameplay but i never could finish it unfortunately without serious issues. something always seems to go wrong with the story line (best i could say it). and unfortunately it is always after 10's of hours playing. i have gotten as far as using all portals at the sky bridge in the Dark Valley.
i do remember reading that it is very important to do each task as it comes because after a while, the build up of task can "break" the mod.
anyhow, does anyone have any good write ups or advice on gameplay before i dive back into this wonderfully surreal world of REBORN!? (yes i started REBORN at the Swamps without accepting any tasks before arriving)

figured i would try to finish 2.53 before playing Doppelganger version.

great remake of SHOC classic. i havent played all the way through yet. in yantra. i just dont save in the BAR and all is good. occasional crashes but it doesnt disrupt game play; they are infrequent now.
use the hotkey saves esc-s
i have crashes saving/ currupt saves in BAR only
use esc-J to teleport into x-18 if you had a bug like me which wouldnt allow me to enter the lab.
.. teleport option is great!
money is a bit off. also got a anti gravity suit and a pebble artifact early in the game making me invincible... odd so i dont use the pebble.
looking forward to a more balanced economy and ballistics. i do love the Master settings which allows me to take at least couple bullets before death and not 1-shot deaths like some mods.
i do wish i could reload clips before running them out of bullets.

after reaching the BAR for the first time, all saves after are corrupt CTD. up to 6 corrupt saves stretching back to the garbage.

using anti-grav suit, possible overload in my inventory?

i figured it out, was not the mod. some how my gpu pci-e slot got changed to 4x instead of 16x.

anyone know why this mod is only using 51% of my GPU but im still getting low FPS (low 20's) ? occasionally it runs ok in the 50 fps, then it will drop off soon after. vid_restart fixes it for a short time.

HybOj-- fresh install, complete file removal is the way to go with these large mods. i should have just done it in the first place. im glad to hear a comparison of your rig so i know what FPS to expect. Secrete Trails 2 mod i removed before installing LA.

finally have to chance to play LA, using patch 1.3003.
having some problems with smooth video gameplay. couldnt find any info about my issue.
at first i figured it was because of my 5870 but after checking into it, the game is only using a little over a gig of ram, barely denting my i7 (set to 4 cores not 8) and only using 50 to 72% of my gpu resources.
medium settings, backed off grass density and lowered ssao for testing, dx 10 (uncheck10.1), worse on dx9

25 to 30 fps, very choppy mouse, default gpu settings... in the manual it mentions the high resource usage so im confused at the low resource demand. i7 clocked to 3.4 \ 6 gigs \ 5870 win7 64. i was playing Secrete Trails mod so i may need to do a clean install.
any thoughts would be great.

many items like health packs don't work for me and i cant always switch weapons... some other backpack issues.
a write up of how to reload magazines would be nice, cant find anything anywhere that explains the system and how it works. i appear to be reloading a mag but the bullets dont always register and if i have a bunch of mags with only a shell or two, how to unload those mags, drop the unloaded mag to make sure i reload a full clip when in a fire fight, not reloading the single mags. if there is a write up, where is it?
this looks to be an impressive mod, im excited.

just finished the mod... i very much enjoyed this all around, wonderful work.. 10/10.

i did start to have a crash problem going to the red forest but the trick with finishing the tasks for save game crashes worked for this issue as well, all crashes stopped.
a brighter flashlight (more white) is my only complaint... so dim it hurt my eyes, thank goodness for NOD'S.

ive read back in the comments and saw ppl had issues with bad saves and fixed it by finishing some quest... although that's not my issue ill give it a shot and then come back to the red forest to see if i have any success.

after game save corrupts my first run through, ive played through again with fresh install. i had 100% success till entering the red forest... during load screen it crashes. no fatal crash, just this...

looks like i will have to start a new game again on account of my bad luck and save games frequently not working. it is probably not the mod at all and the X-Ray engine self destructing (as you replied previously). my log fatal crashes are all pretty much the same, ONLY difference is the "arguments" line. really great mod guys! i enjoyed it greatly while it lasted:) 10/10

1 out of 5 or 6 saves save successfully now. if i modify the belt in any way or complete a task, saves fail each time after that?
- fresh install (retail)
- 1.0006 patch
- defrag
- never once did i quick save or save while in character animation.
- run as admin each time
many hours of gameplay gone!?
