After a successful Steam release reeling in over 28,000 gamers, the Dystopia team has put together a fun-filled broadcast event. To make it as memorable as possible, we have partnered up with some big players including LA's compLexity Gaming Syndicate, ModDB.com, the GameSurge IRC network, server host Trinity Gaming, Noesis Interactive, Xfire and the World's Loudest Human, Marcus "djWHEAT" Graham!
The live broadcast, airing on February 28th 2009 at 5pm EST (10pm UTC), will have three segments. djWHEAT and Dystopia's very own urinal-cake will start with an introduction to the event and to Dystopia that will be followed by a Q&A with Dystopia developers, with questions coming from both djWHEAT and the community present at the event (through our IRC channel on GameSurge, our Official Game Group on Steam and by calling in over Skype). The broadcast event will end with a Dystopia scrim being streamed live with play-by-play commentary by world-famous video game commentator djWHEAT.
Our timing could not be better. ModDB.com will be releasing their 2008 Mod of the Year awards on Friday the 27th, attracting a lot of attention from gamers itching to play the best and latest MODs. Also, LA's compLexity Gaming Syndicate will be hosting a day-long Counter-Strike event to pick the next team they will be sponsoring. Dubbed the Creative Complexity Challenge, it will kick off on Saturday the 28th at 2pm EST (7pm UTC). djWHEAT will be heading up the broadcast of that event and will queue the LIVE Dystopia stream right in the middle of all that eSports action.
Whether you are a seasoned Cyberspace decker or just trying out your first TAC scan, be sure to tune in this Saturday right here on Dystopia's homepage.
