Zone: Revisited is a modification for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. which aims to improve the gameplay and experience by bringing together many of the community-made mods, most of which are heavily tweaked and adjusted to ensure that they work in unison, providing balanced and consistent gameplay mechanics. While it is developed by only 1 person, a lot of time has been put into tweaking it, so players of CoP may enjoy a compilation of some of the mods, that are no longer in development (a compilation), such as S.M.R.T.E.R, the future of which is unclear (so i intended to make most of 0.41 i could). To see the mods included, read the feature list (mostly complete), you should look at the news section. Also, if you could add any media, i would appreciate it (screenshots, videos).

While the initial release of this S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat mod went less than smoothly (because Dropbox had bandwidth limitations which allowed only 20GB to be downloaded by users), i spent the last day re-uploading the archive to Mediafire, so everyone could download the mod freely.

If you are capable of making a merge, then yes. But out of the box, no. If you intend to do this, however, you might need to patch the mod with the Atmosfear compatibility patch for M.S.O. (by also merging them, not just overwriting).

However the mod appears to be unstable, so i wouldn't recommend to download it at this state. :(

The fsgame.ltx file did not need changing. In SHOC it does but not in COP.

Hmm my original file reads

"$game_data$ = false| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\".

In order to run any mods using the gamedata folder I had to change it to

"$game_data$ = true| true| $fs_root$| gamedata\"

So I got the mod to work by uninstalling and re-installing a couple of times but I must admit it is quite unplayable. I can play until Skadovsk. Half a dozen times the game continuously broke during the first emission while inside the Skadovsk and the another half dozen times I made it through the emission to simply have random CTDs around 5 minutes later.

One common problem for all my CTDs is that they would render my latest quicksave unloadable with numerous CTDs at my attemps to load the latest quicksave.

I'll withhold a review score until we get an update from Stiivais whether he has run into similar issues but I think this mod needs more work.

Lastly, the Vanilla game works just fine for me.

Although i never had that happen, is it possible that it's happening just as the emission hits and all of the crows die? I usually have a freeze for a couple of seconds, during which a lot of processing takes place, but never anything game breaking.

Yes, it does indeed happen to me, but the problem is, that i can't fix this. When i browse the error logs, it points me to M.S.O. scripts (this mod Moddb.com), however i have not changed any of the scripts, meaning that they SHOULD work. There are probably inconsistencies with either the added items (e.g. weapons) or something i am not aware of.

I CANNOT FIX THIS (since i am not a programmer, by any means), yet it is worth asking the author of M.S.O. (this guy Moddb.com) to have a look at it (provided that you can give him the error codes inside of crash reports)...

Now, i've been completely honest with you. I thought it might have been memory related (my pc isn't exactly new), i was wrong. :O Guess someone should ask trojanuch if he has a spare minute...

No it always happened towards the end of the emission when you would get the color changes in vision.

I have gotten script references too but I am unsure whether it is M.S.O related. It more seems to have to do with sounds and such.

It's not just inconsistencies. In my logs it seems to point to missing script files so I am curious whether you copied something, then deleted stuff and forgot to delete everything.

I thought so too but I play on win 7 Ultimate x64 with 16GB RAM and an 8GB pagefile so I doubt it.

In the end I think unfortunately this mod is too broken to enjoy :( but thanks for the honesty (thumbs up)

Towards the end, the colors change before one final big flash, that's when crows die, lots of cpu processing takes place etc. The load might be too much, or some other script might be faulty (executed when blowout hits, along with normal routine?).

As for the the error references - i've found out, that there is a common characteristic in the crashes: a local variable is "nil" (not defined?), however there doesn't seem to be a consistent pattern of which scripts cause this (random?).

It appears that, when merging S.M.R.T.E.R. with M.S.O., i've done something wrong in regards to the scripting.
All i've found online in relation to the problem points out errors with either sounds (issue before some patch?) or xr_logic script, however i can't find a whole lot on the topic either...

I honestly don't know what to do, someone who knows more about CoP's inner workings should take a look at this...
