File it in the backlog? Just open the particle editor and set the emittor to linked to instance, it takes 20 seconds to 1 minute.
Note: if you're using a trail on the particle, instead set parent inherent speed to 100%, otherwise you'll have no trail.

Yes, file it in the backlog.
The mod - contrary to some people's believes - is about more than just looks.
We haven't had a dedicated particle artist since Cheese's retirement and constantly bothering the few people proficient with the particle editor who are helping us out of courtesy when they have free time to spare instead of working on their own mods for minor issues like that, is not a priority. We have more important particles left to be made than adjusting those glows which we can easily do without.
It's not about how fast it could be fixed (for one particle by the way, but each and every engine uses a unique particle, so that sums up to quite some work), it's about whether it's worth the time of someone who's helping us out and doing work for us they wouldn't have to do in the first place.

Well...nevermind then, in that case. I recall this from years ago, back then I always hated having to rely on others for exactly this reason. Years ago when I needed small model edits done I had to bother other people for it. When I finally decided to learn how to do it myself, it was as if a new world of freedom and opportunities opened up. I was under the impression you had several people working on yvaw full time who can use the particle editor and simpely didn't know how to fix the issue, but as I said, in this case, nevermind.

Glad you understand.
It sucks, but it's how it is. We have several people working full time on the mod, but not one of of us is able to use the Particle Editor (Wariscool is currently learning the basics, but this future knowledge might be needed for more important projectiles).

Together with texturing creating particles is the one thing I still need to learn as well. Sadly I simply do not have the time for it.

Well that split second before it moves off looks really cool at least ;) Not to mention the ISD looks great in that lighting and delivering some heavy destruction is just even better.

I deemed Imperial conduct a bit more... decorous.

Description

Or: The fun we have when modding the game.
Whilst looking great in the alo-viewer, we ran across this little issue: Our ISD didn't like the treatment, as a side effect it was experiencing slight flatulence.
So we decided, instead of wasting another week on this, to file it in the backlog and continue with more important issues.
