Description
Armed with 2 chin mounted imperial lasers, Concussion missile launcher pod and ventral Bomb Deployer, the TIE Bomber featured a stronger hull than the TIE/ln, but still lacked shields.

Or sneaking on board a super star destroyer's rear bomber bay with one of these and setting them up to cause them to shoot everything to breach the reactor core, blowing all its engines off.
Always was mad with that ending. Not saying the plan wouldn't work but come on what kind of security is that. One issue I have with the EU is every time a bad guy Super showed up it was destroyed by the end of the novel. Guess they took the cue from the ROTJ but seriously why would the Empire keep building those things if they were so easy to take out. The Thrawn trilogy was my favorite (just out of what I've read cause there's plenty I haven't) since at least a star destroyer was tough.
modern Naval vessels are designed with the heaviest armor surrounding their ammunition magazines and in the case of Carriers, their Hangars.
SPECIFICALLY TO PREVENT THAT EXACT SCENARIO IN MIND!
the USS Maine and one of her sister vessels were sunk because of that. in the case of the Maine, her Powder Magazines were literally one compartment away from her Coal stores.
a Coal fire broke out, and the resultant heat brought the surrounding compartments to the Temperature of Ignition of the type of powder in use at the time.
modern ships have reinforced compartments and other countermeasures in place so that if an ammo magazine is damaged and the ammo ignited, the resultant blast won't destroy the entire ship.

Concussion missile launcher
Did you edit its attack to be accurate with the lore or is that just some fun facts
Weapons are canon according to the TRUE legends lore.
The TIE Bomber was capable of carrying many types of missiles, but for simplicity sake, we have decided to only arm it with concussion missiles. The TIE heavy bomber will feature 4 concussion missile launchers, and the TIE wing will be the dedicated torpedo fighter.
We are working on something special for the bomb deployer...
Just want to thank you guys a heap for sticking to the "legends." I was just recently convinced to see the new movie and must say the EU has never looked better, in my eyes. Keep up the good work.
So I'm assuming there's gonna be some sort of fancy projectile thing that comes out of the deployer.
Or not so fancy since it would only be able to drop the bombs as opposed to launching them.
