A close up view of Seregruth's stunning work, creating the Citadel tower of the Shimrra.
While the exact size of the worlds ships are still being determined, we do plan on making them big.
Domain Hul and Citadel are the youngest and smallest of the worldships while Baanu Raas, Baanu Miir and Alak Shou will be much larger in size.
All 5 worldships will be playable as SSD sized vessels, but just a little bit larger...
The goal is to have battle take place above the surface of the worlds ships.
Note: we have edited this worldship since the previous picture to make the top of the worldship look more like a mountain range. This is how it was described in the novel "Force Heretic 3: Reunion".
So if the battles take place on them, the space battles, will it occasionally fire at the ships and if such a thing happens, how can you target something out of the main battle area, it's like trying to target the deathstar with your fleet.
It is no different than having a battle take place with units raised above a SSD. The only difference is that this SSD (the worldship) is 3x as wide.
Guns can be coded to aim up and down ;)
Like the turrets that most ships use in mods, the ones that swivel and track targets. :D
i guess that fighting Worldships could be similar to Air-Combat, just on a larger scale

You can sort of imagine a worldship to be similar to that.

While worldships are large and deadly, they are also very old, some are even over a millennia. They are not as strong as newer vong ships and must be used cautiously, for they are also crucial to producing the advanced weapons of war for the Vong.
There will be a certain risk to using a worldship in battle. While being able to deliver vast amounts of firepower, if they are lost, they cannot be replenished.
Will they take an extended amount of time to repair if they're damaged in battle, instead of healing instantly like ships do in vanilla EaW? (This would be once a battle is complete and you've returned to the galactic map.)
Sadly not possible with the EAW game engine, but a nice idea.
You would need only one certain Executor-class star dreadghnout (commonly known as SSD), some droid verbobrains, litle bit of engineering, distraction and brilliant tactican like Wedge Antilles ;) (from SW NJO Enemy Lines: Rebel Stand by Aaron Allston)
