It is inspiring that you have the tenacity to remake a ship entirely just because it "doesn't quite fit", it's remarkable :) I also love the model ;)

Try making 1 model xPearse, just 1 model, as good and complex as ours... then think about the 500 others we have made and get back to me.

I know the models are insanely detailed and such but do you need this many models for the one mod, I mean it's just insane. I just don't think this much work needs to be done, also I can't remember but have you done any ground units before.

We have many ground units made, take a look.

And its our mod man, we'll make as many units as we wish.
I am really confused by your negativity sometimes...

How can you complain about the amount of units? I love all the detail and hard work being put into this mod. Shows how much they care about making this an awesome mod. Yes, it takes a while, but they also got to deal with real life just as everyone else does. In the end, I'm sure it will be worth it.

Same. There are really only two other very high quality mods with a solid team. Thrawns Revenge and RAW. TR is is finishing after the next update and RAW..who knows what's going on with RAW. Most other mods are started by one or two people who do a few months of work, don't have any modelers, and then fall apart. They should be joining an existing team instead of unrealistically starting their own and getting nowhere.

Yeah, agreed. The benefits of team collaboration are epic, and are very clear to see in the two mods you've stated above. It will also become even more clear in the next few years... ;)

Yup. Teams are way better than single modders (ORaW and Second Galactic Civil War excluded). They tend to release better mods and stick to it longer than individuals. It is truly sad to see TR wrapping things up, but they've pretty well taken it as far as they can (who knows, though, maybe they just won't be able to resist still tinkering on it ;D ). Right now RaW and Golden Age of the Sith are the mods I'm following other than the ones mentioned and YVaW, and they are all being produced by teams.

Yeah but it's been two and a half years since 1.1 of RAW, and 1.2 doesn't look like its going to be finished anytime soon. I'm not sure what happened to zerox, either.

He's on work leave. Rather unfortunately, he didn't say when he was coming back! So RaW is on hold until he does because he is required for the release of 1.2

To be honest I still think TR could be improved - just little things like the spacing of their EotH tanks (this is not hard - I (yes I! Not sure how that happened...) managed to sort that out myself so they should be able to? Although yes, I can't think of anything gameplay related that would make it better. It's pretty complex as it is, and that's a very good trait for a mod to have ;)

ORAW could be improved with a team too, I think... G has done a fantastic job on what he Can do, and everyone can see clearly that his work is stunning, but he's left what he can't do alone, and that's created a number of rough edges that detract from the mods awesomeness quite significantly? If he just asked one or two people to help him sort them out, it would be "far more awesomer"...

Apologies, rant over ;)

Yeah, not saying that TR should be finished after 2.1, but from a gameplay perspective there is not much more to do (just a few bugs to still work out). Who knows, maybe it will be like when the team said they were going to quit after they released the first version of the mod, only to say later, " you know, we decided to stick to it and make it better." I personally hope this will happen, but who knows. And yes, ORaW would be better if it was done by a team; however, the amazing job done by simply one man is astonishing.

Did they say that?! I didn't know that, that's interesting... yes, it would be great. I mildly disagree with the addition of things like Lucrehulks and V19s because they will have been thoroughly phased out by that stage?! But at the same time it Does offer the player extra flexibility.

Revanchist_1 Sep 20 2013, 12:04am replied:

Yup. Check out news post "Zombie!" on ModDB to see that they did indeed say that. For V-19s I quote Wookieepedia: "The Galactic Empire continued to utilize Torrents after the end of the Clone Wars, often reassigning these fighters to older carrier vessels and installation in the Outer Rim." Outer Rim=Oversector Outer=PA. It would make sense that Kaine would want to bolster fighter strength however possible, even by using outdated ships. Only three ships currently are slated to carry them (to my knowledge). The majority of the PA fighters are still TIEs.

I'll admit that Lucrehulks are a bit of a stretch, but they are only buildable on certain words that would have had the possibility of producing/actually having some. They both give the PA a very different feel than the IR, which is what I appreciate about them.

It will be so strange to see Lucrehulks launching V19s...

Description

During examination of the YV fleet we discovered some discrepancies... One of them was a glossy, flat, blocky flying crystal vessel. So we decided to re-vongform the seedship to match the rest of vong ships. The idea behind it was an asteroid infected/covered/marbled with a growing crystal-like substance...
The other "black sheep" is the I´Friil Ma-Nat corvette which well be replaced with a different model.
Regards, Seregruth
