Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
So tonight we show you a sneak preview of another side of the mod that has been in development.
First off, Cheezecake : Our unsung hero
So far we have been showing the models and textures and alluding to future plans for coding, but while we have been highlighting the work of Seregruth, Enpremi, Warb and Geroenimo, there has been another whom I have been keeping up late at night constantly pushing to develop new forms of awesome. Aside from being our dedicated space map designer, Cheeze is creating all the particles for the mod (except for a few vong ones created by Seregruth and Lord Enpremi). He has been hard at work with pushing the limits of the particle editor.
Today we are proud to reveal just a very small glimpse of what Cheeze has been creating. Over the weekend, we have created the Hyperspace Nuclear Laser Beam that will be fired by Centerpoint Station.
This is a screenshot taken from the particle editor. It will look much more impressive in game.
There is much more coming from Cheeze, the effects he has been creating have been mind blowing. Thank you Cheeze for all your hard work :)
this blast will be very large in size, comparable to probably a Star Destroyer, for it's a really big freakin laser.

Hyperspace Nuclear Laser Beam...Using plasma to excite the atoms, causing nuclear fission, BRILLIANT! Hell, it even seems like its actually possible, given you shoot the plasma at an unstable element(Causing it to decay faster, releasing more and more sub-atomic particles.).

OK, I don't know if any of the physics of the laser would be possible, and honestly, I don't care. It looks pretty awesome and that's what counts. Nice work!!
