undergoing several modifications over the years and utilizing stolen Mon Calamarian technology, the Nova was one of the deadliest cruisers to be faced against. Performing the role of a and interceptor frigate, the Nova relied heavily on it its strong shields and fast agility to maneuver around the battlefield to compensate for its weaker hulled armor. It could outflank just about every starship of its class, rendering them disabled due to its forward array of medium ion cannons. Nova's only carry 2 squadrons of fighters due to a modification of the wing design which allowed for stronger shield generators and thicker armor plating.

So, just a few tweaks here and there.
The size of the hangers were fine, so they were left alone. The head was slightly adjusted to make it a little longer and add some beveled armor plating which is a feature that we have on all our Vong ships. Point defense laser arrays were added to the sides of the neck, and some small changes to the back of the ship to better allow turret placement.

I like the changes mostly, but I think the indents on the hull for the turrets and the bevels ruins the smooth look that is present in the pictures. Also the 2 dual tls on top of the head do this aswell
If you look at the blue print drawing on wiki, all turbo lasers are single barrel in placement. On the head, there are 2 barrels. I thought hard about this, originally I had only 1 centered turret, but this ship is supposed to be a fierce combatant vessel, so the lack if dorsal weaponry and forward facing damaging weapons did not offer the desired punch I felt this ship should have.
2 dorsal head turrets gives excellent coverage and a deadly barrage for a ship of this size.
You could ad those two turrets to the sails. Maybe it looks smoother this way...
yes yes, to the cilinder where they are attached, now THAT would look very smooth. Great idea.
I will make that change, they will fit and not conflict with firing archs and sails
Best thing about this mod? The modders listen to input from fans.
The Hapen Fleet will forever be my favorite fleet, I love their unique ship designs!
