We are very proud to present the Miid ro'ik.

Seregruth and I have worked very hard on this model design to bring to you what we consider the most accurate representation of this ship.

This ship will be upgradeable to 3 different specialized variations.

It looks very good as a bean with insect eggs. Very Vong.

But where are the lights? have not the vong starships lights?

Actually they did not, at least not all of them. The early invasion Yuuzhan Vong ships did not have lights, and were essentially camoflauged to look like asteroids and rocks. This helped with the Yuuzhan Vong's invasion plans of slipping by planetary systems while being unnoticed.

Later in the Vong War, this method of ship construction was discarded for more multi-purpose role organic ships. Growing the Yorik Coral Hull, while much more durable, took a longer time to make. As the Vong started to loose the war, new and faster methods of ship construction needed to be utilized to replenish the damaged fleet. It is later in the war that more organic type ships that are lacking the full cover of the yorik coral shell become visible, and on these creatures glowing sensory organs can be seen, which from a distance, look very much like lights on analogous Galactic Alliance capital ships.

I´m not a great fan from canon but how can you explain this?

By default they have not engine lights and without any particle or light, these models will be boring at game.

trust me... these models will not look boring... we have thought of this, and have a nice surprise for everyone...

But for now, that surprise is a secret, but it does work, and it looks amazing... many thanks Farseer ;)

The Slave Ship (in your picture link) is a late war weapon. It was deployed after the sacking of Coruscant. We are following the story of the novels over the comics. Slave Ships were not deployed until the end of the war.

But the comic story is not from the late war. But before these comics, with exception from some guides, there are not too many things painted from Vongs.

Description

The Miid ro'ik warship was a Yuuzhan Vong bio-engineered capital starship and the rough analog to an Imperial-class Star Destroyer Images.wikia.com. The warship was unique in its ability to recycle other Yuuzhan Vong starships. Whenever a coralskipper, Kor Chokk, or even a worldship began to die, its organic material was fed to the miid ro'ik. The dying matter was converted into fuel for the warship's yaret-kors and other systems. Some of this material was also transformed into viscous secretions that oozed onto the vehicle's hull and hardened into gloss, black armored plates which could withstand blaster fire and collisions. The remainder of the ship was composed of durable yorik coral, with several long coral arms sprouting from the vessel's sides. These red-and-blue arms latched onto coralskippers, transporting the starfighters through space.

While the warship's coralskipper complement could provide covering fire under attack, the miid ro'ik's main weapons consisted of sixty yaret-kors, arrayed across the hull, and often secreted within deep crags in the yorik coral. The most terrifying feature of the miid ro'ik was the dread weapon hidden in the belly of the warship. This huge, grotesque creature extended from the vessel to consume enemy starfighters or personnel.
