Fast, heavily armored, and strongly shielded, the Majestic Class was considered to one of the best warships of it's day. Equipped with long range sensors, the Majestic had long range viewing capabilities. The ship was armed with 4 long range beam turret mounted under the bow, 3 long range medium dual turbolaser turrets, and a variety of other weaponry to handle any type of threat, consisting of medium turbos, dual lasers, ion cannons, missile launchers and point defense lasers. The Majestic housed 2 squadrons of fighters and had tractor beams.

The Majestic kinda reminds me on the Karemman freighter from the DS9 episode "Starship Down".
But I agree with blaze3114. The Majestic really is a cool design. :)

Nice ship and if it got a cloaking device it would be a starwars vesion of a bird or prey.
Beam turrets? Are they stronger than normal laser and ion weapons?
This reminds me of a Klingon ship as well.
But I really like the submarine-like bridge(?) tower structures on some of the NR ships.
Now I guess I will play NR way more than I thought I would. :)
On a side note, what's the status on ground combat if I may ask?
I've only seen models for space so far.

Which is better Beam Turrets or Turbos?
Would the Beam Turret be closer to the Mark XII Phaser?
Beam lasers are very powerful cutting lasers, they are stronger, yet fire less frequently.
That is what I thought.
Beam turrets, eh? Never thought that the Majestic had something like that (or at least none of the other mods I've played have given beam turrets to it). Is that canon armament, or are you using your creative license as the mod devs?

while the movies only really showed turbolasers, games like SW battlefront had space combat where they showed space ships shooting beam type weapons instead of turbo shots.
We have added AA cannons, beam lasers, plasma artillery and some others to create diversity amongst ships.
Never been a fan of it's design even if it used my name. lol Still good model guys.
the Beam-Turret thing kinda reminds me of Freespace 2, one of my favorite flight sims.
