Kuati Longhorn Defense Barge image - Yuuzhan Vong at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption
Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
Slow moving and heavily armored, these defense barges patrol the space lanes of Kuat. Armed with a chin mounted Imperial Fast Tracking Turbolaser (IFTTL) and 10 KMD, the Longhorn can deliver a good amount of punishment to any attacker. The Longhorn also features a 'fly through' hangar with 4 separate hangar decks allowing for the rapid deployment of 2 squadrons of A9 Vigilance starfighters. The Longhorn additionally features 7 Imperial Blaster Turrets for AA sweeping. The ship is limited by it slow speed and medium/short range weapons.
Model Edit and Texture: Burntstrobe
So this was one of the fan favorite concept designs originally drawn by the online artist Drone. The model was originally created by Geroenimo. I felt that the bulk of the hull needed significance since this ship wasn't ever mentioned as a prominent attack vessel, and this idea led me to hollowing out the inside and creating the 4 interior hangar bays.
End result: a mobile defense hangar with some incredible firepower

Correction to picture:
the model currently shows the IHDL mounted on the chin. This was a mistake, for that turret is actually 3x larger. The correct chin turret for the Longhorn is the Imperial Fast Tracking (Medium) Turbolaser (IFTTL)

I like how most of the ships your making look rag-tag and war-torn and that there are only a few "clean" looking ships. It gives the mod a nice apocalyptic feel to it.

Out of curiosity how many fighters are in each squadron for this mod? 12? If it's vanilla squadron sizes it would seem like a very small fighter complement.
