The Givin, the evil weapon masterminds of the Hutt Empire, developed a heavy deepspace minelayer for protecting Hutt Space. Equipped with a strong shield generator, the armored frigate was quite well defended. Imperial grade rapid medium turbolasers, quad AA lasers, light laser turrets and heavy blaster turrets make ship frigate able to fend off most attackers under the size of a cruiser. 4 mine deployers allow for the ship to create large mine fields in relatively short amounts of time.
The frigate also feature a rear hangar bay for the deployment of 1 squadron of fighters.

Yeah but in theory the mines could just chase you anyways.
You know like ascending naval mines. Also they would probably be laid in a three dimensional pattern meaning that if you fly over 1 mine you'll just hit another one above you.
Didn't the givin also build ships for the confederacy of independent systems during the clone wars. They truly are the bad guys ship building go to guys
the givin are base there whole society and political decisions on maths, since the givin are brilliant at mathematics. During the clone wars they probley facted in the fact that the republic was corrupt as hell and chose the CIS (but they didn't know the the fact the war was controlled by the sith). They are that brillent that any Givin ship fresh of the shipyard did not have a navicompter because the Givin didn't need one while calculating hyperspace routes. I suspect the reason in this mod they are aiding the Hutts due to the fact that 1.they are not as currupt and ineffective as the New Republic and 2. do not base they entire society on religion and mass genocide as the Vong did. Although both times I don't think they really had the Jedi in mind while making there calculations
yea i read they help build the Confederacies Wavercrest Frigate class. my only guess is that you are right based on there calculations they figured that democracy as a whole leaves holes for corruption. but also they didnt want to side with the Empire because of there totalitarian regime and obviously who would want to side with the Vong
