A siege ship that hurls missiles very far...
The CT-470 Trebutor is armed with 2 long range heavy torpedo launchers. The ship is relatively slow, but compensates with a wide variety of defensive weaponry, including 5 dual medium turbolasers, 3 twin barreled fast tracking rapid blaster turrets, 3 dual medium laser turrets and side firing concussion missile launchers.

I like long range missile ships. Are missiles/torpedoes able to penetrate shields?
There are 3 types:
Proton torpedoes - able to bypass shields, damage to all ships and fighters.
Concussion missiles - cannot pass shields, deadly to fighters and small warships, moderate damage to capital ships.
Torpedoes - cannot pass shields, minimal damage to small ships, great damage to capital ships.
The reason torpedoes damage small ships lightly is because in reality, a small ship would be able to evade a torpedo.
Why do you want to have the shield bypassing torpedoes as well? Not complaining, just want to know your reasoning.
I forgot long range Ballistic Missiles - these fire far, cannot go through shields, and do more damage than concussion, but less than a torpedo. Can only affect medium-large warships.
okay, so here is a breakdown:
Proton Torpedoes: carried by fighters, bombers and capital ships. can bypass shields. Short range. Damage scale = 6 to ships, 10 to fighters
Concussion Missiles: carried by fighters, bombers, all ship types. Deal great damage to fighters, corvettes and frigates, minimal damage to cruisers and capital ships. Short range. Damage scale 8 to fighters, 5 to small ships, 3 to capital ships.
Torpedoes - carried only by frigates and larger types of ships. Cannot go through shields. Long range. 0 damage to fighters, not targetable or very little damage to small ships, 8 damage to capital ships
Ballistic Missiles - carried only by capital ships. long range. Cannot go through shields. 0 damage to fighters, 8 damage to corvettes and frigates, 7 damage to capital ships.
That is the idea we are trying to use.
also, as a problem with the original game, missles where VERY slow, will missles all be different speeds orr?
It is the intent to give them all unique speeds.
