The Crusader Gunship was a vital part of the Mandalorian Defense forces. It was faster than DP20, but not as armored, and featured decent shielding allowing it to withstand some heavy weapon fire. Crusaders featured 4 quad AA mass drivers turrets which could do equal damage vs capital ships and star fighters alike and featured 10 flank mounted point defense lasers for intercepting incoming projectiles.

Actually I didn't know that this is the concept art for the ship until I had finished the texture. I just chose to take the best picture I could find as inspiration.
I was amused when I heard that it is the same that Petroglyph once used.
With your work it´s the first time I actually see that the Kedalbe is the parent of the Crusader :P
To me the concept looks like something from the original Homeworld game. Love it...

is the point defense ability now a passive or is it active?
All point defense lasers are hardpoints just like turrets and can be destroyed. Point defense lasers are only able to shoot at rockets/torpedoes and will shoot at any within range.
