Behold the Yuuzhan Vong Army! This mod adds the Yuuzhan Vong Race as a playable faction and all units of this era. We are a community of modders working for the greater goal, so anyone who wants to help or support us is welcome!
Just a quick update:
This weekend we have spent time focusing on map props, namely buildings. Throughout posts, I often mention how we wish to make a "complete and unique" filled galaxy. We are doing this. We will be slowly announcing several different types of subfactions, each will have unique units. With this also, we also plan for every planet to look unique as well. You will not be seeing the same 4 building structures on every map here in the Vong mod. We are following the novels as close as possible, and each land map will accurately portray the locations described in the novels. Planets which were not described in the novels will be designed after what we deem as strategic value target or main points of interest. With this in mind, each map will feature unique styles of buildings. The ground props needed to complete such a task will be a very taxing job, but we are determined to create this to deliver an all encompassing unique Star Wars feel.
When you play the Vong mod, you really will be exploring the galaxy.
Here is just a quick sample or our newest contributor's work. We are keeping our eye on this guy, so expect to see more work from him soon in the future.

That is Only the outer rim buildings too ;)
Ah Sith pyramid? Well, well. I would say that is not a Star Wars building, just an unasked copy of our Goa'uld Props from our 3D artist Duke. Some others like the walls and streets looks copied too. Look here Moddb.com

Yeah but Stargate Pegasus hasn't been released. At most the designs are similar. No one but the Pegasus team has access to those models right?
That's right. Our mod isn't release yet and when just the space skirmish first. So you can currently see these models only on pictures.

These props were a learning project given to Triangulum, our newest affiliat and member in training. I gave him a screenshot of your models that was just found on the internet to show as reference as to what I personally consider: Good Detail in a prop. He enjoyed your models and wished to make them. We will not be using this directly as is, for he tried to create all of the buildings in your set. We taught him how to use Max over the weekend. Rest assured, we are not trying to use your material without permission, they just happened to be in the same file as all the other buildings and I was too lasy to remove them from the photo.
BTW, an agreement was initiated by Shimrra about us collaborating. Can you please contact me via PM to discuss this further. I do wish to work with you guys, and I apologize for not removing the buildings from the photo. In the photo, you can see an attempt at recreating your small columned temple, the pyramid, the large building and the road. Not bad for someone who literally had one day of coaching by Geroenimo and some guidance by myself on detailing.
Triangulum is our new pet project, we expect BIG things from this individual and will be dedicating much time to help him develop his skills. Another shining example of how we are not just making a mod, but trying to grow a community by teaching others :)
