Build to destroy what an Imperial Star Destroyer can't, the Allegiance Class Heavy Star Destroyer is a sized up Imperial Class, with bigger engines, bigger reactor, bigger weapon arsenal and larger hull.
At 2200 meters long this Star Destroyer is not the largest, but certainly one of the most dangerous ships designed by the Imperial Fleet. Not very fast or agile, this ship is suppose to outgun any smaller ship with it's impressive array of weaponary before it could either attack of flee. Because of it's nature this ship is very effective at high damage output, aswell as costly to produce and painfull to lose. (unit cap)
Gameplay perspective: This ship is going to be placed higher than most heavy cruisers, which are usually placed underneath the battlefield. This will allow it to use it's underlaying turrets aswell, adding to it's destructive firepower.
On a personal note, I consider this my best model built yet, and am very proud of how it came out. Ever since I first saw Eviljedi's model years ago I thought it could be look better. I took FractalSponge's design because I feel it gives the best feel of what an englarged star destroyer would look like. Fractals model can be seen here: Fractalsponge.net

I like the darkness over it. Really fits the Empire.
that's because of the render, i think.
It uses a light "Omni", a lightsource which can be placed anywhere around the model, so in this case I just put it down a bit more.
Counted at least 11 guns per side, and i think many of them are batteries... Would not wanna face that with Corellian Corvette!
