Star Wars book plot feedback Thread - Yuuzhan Vong at War mod for Star Wars: Empire at War: Forces of Corruption

I would like some feedback for my book. I just wanted to know if my plot was too cliche. Now, i know when you hear the word fanfic, you will probably conjure up an image of some creep in his parent's basement with nothing better to do. However, please, do keep an open mind.

My plot begins near the moment when Sev loses contact with the rest of Delta Squad. He is fighting off legions of droids, and is fighting valiantly, but he is losing the battle. He will die. However, a war party of Wookies see him being overrun. They consider it to be dishonorable to not help a comrade, whether they be Wookie or not. Sev is gravely injured and is taken back to a Wookie village, where he recovers. (Note, i will be including both legend and cannon material) Sev is out cold when the jedi purge happens, and thus his inhibitor chip does not work since he did not receive the order.Sev is awakened and heals in a couple of weeks time. The wookies know the Newly formed empire will come for them, and fight through clones and droid alike in order to escape in a consuler class corvette. However, during the fight, Sev has visions about the Yuuzhan Vong invasion, seeing firsthand the ahnihilation they will bring. However, he is shaken out of it by a wookie. They leave the planet while the imperial fleet is occupied with a sepratist holdout on the planet.
