The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.
What we have been working on during the last week and what we based our model on.
So before anyone complains yes this unit is technically not a "real" unit. It is from gundam build fighter. However if you think about it and the k9 varient is an interesting unit that takes something that was originally developed a long time ago and updates it to a modern idea of what the gm sniper 2 was used in the story. Back during the one year war gm snipers were the unit of choice by many elite ef pilots because at that point there wasn't many other choices. The gundams were rare and given to pilots that earned them , they were not units a pilot could request. Rx77ds were incredibly expensive and though powerful they were not as maneuverable as gms piloted by these elite units. Finally gm snipers were able to be customized to however a pilot could realistically want.
The k9 is the best of these varients from adaptability in field. It can drop and plant traps as its in the field, it's cannon is incredibly powerful, it can deploy it's back as a backup unit for fire support, it has both kinetic and beam weapons, as well as 2 beam sabers and a combat knife. Finally it has the exam system if all else fails. I am not saying we are putting all of those options in, but the unit is in my opinion the EFs answer to the Zeon Kamper because we all know how flexible and powerful that thing is.
So is this guy gonna be a support power? Or an upgrade purchase?
That is..... A secret! Lol. Honestly we are still talking about it. Do we want to make it an optional upgrade? Do we want to make it a buildable option? Do we want to make it a power? Unknown. Right now we have the normal sniper 2, the white dingo sniper 2, and this guy. We have to discuss and figure out how many do we need and how they should be used. But this one will be in it.
