The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.
I managed to get 3 of the squads done tonight. Well, 2 and a half, but whatever.
As you can see from the pics the Shadow Team can now attack while in the air. They are really going to be a multi-purpose unit. While in the air they can use their beam weapons on ground and other air targets. On the ground they use their beam weapons against air units and infantry but against ground vehicles or structures they will use a close range "Knuckle Punch" ability to basically blow crap up in melee range. Very cool. Their downside is survivability, while they can do massive damage they can't take a very good hit.
The Confessors and Black Hand each have their Cyborg Bodyguard.
The Confessors are equipped with a normal frag grenade and a heavy carbine as well as being equipped with some pretty impressive armor and cybernetic augments making them the go-to anti-infantry squad now.
The Black Hand (even though you can't tell from the pic) are equipped with their normal flamethrowers for dealing with structures and infantry but their back packs have a hidden surprise for aircraft and vehicles. They now carry rocket launchers as a secondary weapon for those targets making them another great go-to unit. Their armor is even tougher than the Confessors but their range is much more limited as well as them being slower on the movement side of things.
