The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.
Ok, just finished with the first part of the Legion Sword. The two things that all Avatars will have the same is the anti-infantry flame thrower on their sholder and the EMP Cannon on it's right arm.
The Sword is a very powerful and tough unit. It's main Weapon is at first a Gattling Cannon that deals out continual damage. While not as powerful as the Plasma Cannon is this weapon always hits it's target and it just never lets up giving it a high overall damage ability against infantry/structures/vehicles/aircraft.
The Legion Sword will have a special kind of assault drone with it. This drone will be equipped with a light laser weapon allowing it to support the Legion Sword in the field with additional firepower.
However this isn't what makes the LS-GAP002 so dangerous. That would be Mode 2. Whats Mode 2? If you listened to Dougs last Robotech Fan Podcast that we did last Thursday you'll have a good idea as we talked about it there. If not then you'll have to wait until I code / model it and put it in (sometime tonight/tomorrow morning I should have it done and posted up). Until then it's a "surprise" that I'm sure is going to make everyone go "wtf? Thats nuts!".
Remember, before the Scrin and Invid the reason that the EF broke away from GDI and began it's mass-rush towards mobile suit technology was because they knew that Legion was making these things and they felt that GDI not only would not listen to them but would not be able to deal with such a threat following the path they were going down. It's because of this clear story point that we felt that these Avatars had to be a serious enough threat that a group would go through a civil war just to put themselves into a position that they felt they could deal with this upcoming threat. :)
(oh, and if you can't tell what the Avatar in the bottom right is fighting it's a Nod Beam Tank that the AI built and then deployed as a defensive turret. Check it out, the AI uses it! lol Not that it helps being in defense turret mode if it's hit with the EMP cannon....)
Yeah, that thing definantly looks mean. lol
Thansk thats what I was aiming for. This is actually the 3rd attempt at this model (the other 2 didn't end so well lol)
lol wow! It looks kinda' weak though. But it's better than the original Avatar
what about it looks week and how do you think it could look stronger
It may look weak now, but I'm working on it's 2nd mode right now, otherwise known as "Oh ****" mode. When the model takes 50% damage it's going to auto-switch over to this new mode which will hopefully look a lot more dangerous. :)
Look pretty good to me, but if your gattling gun makes that much smoke it's time to put more oil on the bearings.
Would it be possible to make the smoke cloud smaller (1/8th) and move the muzzle flash to the end of the barrel?
I may be able to make the cloud smaller, I'll have to see if there is a smaller smoke effect to pull from instead of the one I'm using. As for the muzzle flash I doubt it as I've found the Avatar to be one of the hardest models to modify, it refuses to use additional weapon/fx bones that are on the additional model pieces. It's not like the other models like the Scrin Capitol Ships where it worked fine. I think it has to do with the model animations but I'm not sure. It's why we did the design like we ended up doing it, this was not our original idea but the one that fit best with the issues that kept appearing.
