The Xenoforce Reborn mod takes the classic Xenoforce mod from CNC Generals and re-invisions it on the CNC3 engine with new units and new designs. The new armies that are currently scheduled to be in the mod are the Earth Federation, ZEON, the Invid, and the Earth Robotech Defense Force. We also have heavily modified the original CNC3 armies, giving the GDI, NOD, and Scrin a much more dynamic gameplay experience. This mod is NOT FOR PROFIT and NON-commercial based.

Oh God!! :O WTGIR (When the game is released.) I'm going to hit this Genome Avatar so brutally (Brutal Strategy) with my tricky tactics.

Your model skills seems to be improving. :)

Judging by it's description, I am assuming this unit is special like the commando unit? Or will it be a super unit?

Description

There are going to be 3 avatars in the new version of the mod. One of them will be a mass production model and the other 2 are going to be special power generated monsters of mass destruction. :)

I did the Legion Shield (GAP01) first as it was going to be the hardest of the 3 for me to code. The Legion Shield Avatar is equipped with a main heavy plasma cannon, an EMP cannon, an anti-infantry inferno cannon, and finally a shield generator.

This shield technology is nothing like the Scrins. Where the Scrin focus on each individual unit having a shield Nods design is much more robust. If the Legion Shield detects a threat it will automatically activate it's shield covering a large area around it. The effect is that any allied unit under the shield when it activates gains a 50% protection from enemy fire! The Legion Shield can hold this shield for an indefinite amount of time but it can only activate it if it sees the threat.

What that means is if the Legion Shield walks into a trap (say you've got a few GM Snipers hidden along the ridge with the Hazel Project finished on them) then they'll get their shot off before the Legion Shield can turn it's shield on, so it's not an instant "win" ability.

Still, it's damn nice to have.

Oh, the other part about this in case players are worried. There will only ever be a max of 1 of these on the field at a time. Creating these things cost Legion a lot of energy and resources and it doesn't just "send" them out for no reason.
