In this video you see the basic implementation of the Graviton Guns/Cannons and Conversion Beam in action. Values need tweaking as much as some other stuff such as Icons or the missing conversion beamer texture. But so far it's a good start!
Have a nice day!

What are those marines I wonder...
(maybe I am tripping but don't they have a new color-scheme on their armor?)
Anyway nice work as allways Cosmo, keep it up!
You are awesome!
They are called sternguard veterans. The most battle-hardened and experienced marines of a codex chapter right behind the Honour guard/gladiator command squad.
Yup it's one Tac and one Sternguard Squad. THe Sternguards were equipped with heavy Graviton Cannons and the Tac squads with light Graviton Guns.
Very satisfying. The damage they deal against structures is just what i expected it to be. The grav guns/cannons seems to be a bit too strong against light and medium infantry, but other than that it's nice.
Would like to see a small video showcasing their range and destructive potential against different types of vehicles.
Awesome! More heresy stuff the better!
Only issue is that if the Beam Cannon is NOT facing the target but fires at the enemy at an odd angle not directly to the Cannon it shows the FX at right angles. :| Unsure that can be addressed so it only fires on-target.
Fixed that issue today :P

Is it me or the beam has some of the weapon sound of the Gluon Gun aka
"vacuum cleaner" weapon in half-life? The sound is the same when you stop firing with it. xD
Vacuum Cleaner is Love Vacuum Cleaner is Half-Life :3
An unfortunate downside to conversion beamers is that they are incredibly large and heavy and must remain absolutely motionless when operated, or the intensity of the beam will be negated, rendering the shot useless. Another problem with the conversion beamer is the length of time they need build up the energy that is released in the beam. Although it is only a second or so, it is easily long enough for potential targets to have moved or escape the field of fire.

Sooo no shooting at moving targets and no moving&shooting;, right?
I hope so IF its possible..
It also gets stronger when target is further
It indeed has currently a set-up time of 3 seconds until it's able to fire (I added slightly more then 1 second set-up time since that's barely making an impact in-game). Unfortunately firing only at stationary targets is not possible. However I could still disallow the conversion beamer to be fired a at infantry and only on tanks (which are still able to be shot while moving). So the way it's handled now is that you can fire the conversion beam at ANY target it's just more effective on say buildings and high armored vehicles then on light armored infantry and tanks such as landspeeders.
Also damage based on distance from target is also not supported by the game.
cool
The conversion beamer still needs a proper texture and I am bad at this >.<. You don't know a good texturer with some spare time to help me get this one textured, do you? ;-)
Shouldn't the beam direction follow the turret alignment as that moves around, instead of sticking to the target in weird ways?
