Ultimate Apocalypse Mod
News - Late October and Early November
A very successful month indeed. There are many things to talk about for the end of October and the beginning of November! The Ultimate Apocalypse mod team wants to notify you of a little issue. Since, of course, 1.73.5, 1.73.6, and 1.73.7 was released all in one month! Just two months ago, one really, you all were playing on the less functional and old 1.73.4 patch. It fixed a lot of things alone, and now we are up to version 1.73.7! Released as of yesterday (10/30/14).
The new unit reveal is within this news. If you read carefully, you may be able to find what the new unit is for version 1.73.71! If I'm telling the truth... ;)
Now comes 1.73.8. Then 1.73.9. <---------- You will start to notice a little tiny issue. Version 1.74, the all time big release, the biggest successor yet is just 0.00.1 versions away from the casual patches and our version naming system. So the team wants to keep you in mind, that the next big release will be called the "Ultimate Apocalypse - Dawn of Daemonic Apocalypse" UA- DODA. It will NOT be called version 1.74. Version 1.74, will be another patch, as for obvious reasons, we like the version naming system to be .5, .6, .7, .8, .9, FULL.0 and etc as it is nice and tidy.
The new unit in version 1.73.71 is the: (read further in the news)
Whatever version we name UA - DODA, this will be the biggest release yet, and it will involve Inquisition Daemonhunters and Chaos Daemons. The release will be huge, it will not be a patch, full release, one download and relatively easy to install. :) It will be like how it is now, download the mod and patches, and if you want Tyranids, download Tyranids. But now with IDH and Daemons!!! All instructions will be provided for you, and upon its release, patches will of course be fixing DODA version, and DODA version will be named "Ultimate Apocalypse - Dawn of Daemonic Apocalypse (1.#)."

- Biggest release is not going to be version 1.74.
- Biggest release yet will be called "Ultimate Apocalypse - Dawn of Daemonic Apocalypse (1.#)."
- Biggest release yet will include the Inquisition Daemonhunters
- Biggest release yet will include the Chaos Daemons Tau XV101 Riptide Titan
- Biggest release will involve the same setup to get factions like Tyranids and etc.
- Get the patches today if you own version 1.73!
It is recommended, that you know how to install Tyranids for UA, as it will be essential for UA - DODA. It is essential, that you spread this news to others and inform everybody that the biggest release will not be called, Ultimate Apocalypse 1.74, but "Ultimate Apocalypse - Dawn of Daemonic Apocalypse (1.#)". I like it this way as well. I would like to expand the version numbers higher and higher into the greater numbers also, to keep it consistent and more simplistic. :)

Ah I see, the secret unit animations are ****** up....
I heavily disagree. They aren't good, but not bad either. While the animations aren't bad, they are not the greatest in the world, but the new unit was in a way kind of rushed, so, like the Hierophant Bio Titan or Angron, you can expect the Dreadknight's animations to not be "****** up". In fact, the unit's animations only improve!
I released the unit to get an idea of how just ONE unit ingame will affect attention, and needed to try out and see if the unit's concepts work out, plus crowd goodies. Now you know why we are not releasing 1.74 yet...
One question about the 'nids. Why not just have them auto included like when they were first implemented and how chaos / GK will be?
What do you mean? Gimme an example. :)
In 1.73 when the Tyranids were first put in, we didn't have to modify anything to get them. They just existed. Can that just be a standard, or is there a reason we have to modify modules to put them in?
And if we must modify modules, does opening it in note pad work or do we need a specific program?
Tyranids module editing was included because there was constant upon constant issues of people not realizing that they needed to download Tyrasnids in order for the mod to work. Hence they couldn't even play or had a clue.
Now, that problem is gone, and if you want Tyranids, "then you do this". With of course instructions placed everywhere.
Note pad and any program works.

I am having an issue with it. Did as you said as well as my wife and a couple friends, the ua mod crashes instantly after we allowed 'nids but is fixed when we editted back to block them again. is that a conflicting issue with the new patch or something?
does this version have a working kaurava campaign like ua 1.72 ??

Hey, i get a fatal scar error whenever i use the starting forces addon, is it broken?
Also, shouldn't Heavy Infantry be immune to knockdown? Atleast from Grenade launchers!, it's insanely annoying when my Termies get knocked around by cultists, lol.
Also, will there ever be a Lucius pattern Reaver or Mars Pattern Warhound?
And finally, the only quirk i have with "that" Unit is it's currently stiff stance, and the fact that it's legs are way to small. As it is a WIP, it isn't really bothersome, and i cant wait to see it finished. otherwise, it's amazing in every way.
Do you guys still have the old versions for download? I mean the very old versions when you guys started this up, UA 1.0 or something like that. Just newbie here, just stumbled it here at moddb, was playing dowpro before then dowpro becomes dead. And thought of a new mod for soulstorm and found this. I just can't get the smile off from my face when I saw titan units and superweapons at the descriptions. :D

If there is a way I can donate and how to. Just pm me. Do you guys have an archive of your old versions? I mean the complete collection, since you guys created this mod from day one. I want to play the mod from the very first to the latest version.
