Hello all...long time fan of DOW1, only recently looking into this mod...I've come up with a few questions before I've even downloaded it, and forgive me if they are dumb and would be solved by installing the mod...I've got crappy internet that keeps corrupting the download.

Is there an NT Core for non-steam versions?

I've seen mentions of superweapons and nukes and such...if any of these are real good/game ending, can they be disabled? I love DoW1 and SC-era RTS's especially because they don't have "superweapons"...I find today's RTS's are not nearly as fun...you either rush your opponent before they build up or nuke each other...I prefer long term sieges myself.

Is the AI configurable at all/are there different modes? As aforementioned I like sieges, so if there is anyway to make the AI more turtle-y and less rush-y would be great.

Hi there

To answer question 1. No there isn't

To answer question 2. You can disable them in winconditions

To answer question 3. I suppose you could turn on different winconditions/maps

To expand on 3, you can't make the AI more Turtle-y, but you can make turtling easier with fortress defenses (+100% hp for defense fortifications). Although honestly, Turtling is viable, it's not fun or profitable until you Get Titan's, because the AI WILL KEEP bashing troops at your walls, eventually breaking thorugh if you have a weak defense, or they have some really good long ranged troops (Tau, Necron), crazy high ranged resistance(About 70% to 90% weird glitch for AI only, Chaos Daemons).

Damn, why does game AI have to always be continuous assault? I miss the SC campaign style where they had everything and you had to wipe it all out. Defending against some assault but still..something to /do/ with that massive army you survived to make :) Lately in games AI bases aren't really impressive or well defended.

Yep, the only well fortified AI bases you might find are necron, maybe Eldar if there's a chokepoint.

I know this question has been posted and iterated on about a billion times before probably, but can someone just sum up in like 2-3 sentences what exactly the AI Levels change except the speed an numbers the AI is rushing you with, because i get the feeling the unit composition or build order rarely changes. Also, do they use super-weapons at all, or do they just spam relic units until one of you gets steamrolled?

I think Easy and normal share the same tactic/strategies, easy giving the ai 50% less resources than you and normal giving 25% less. (NOT SURE, but they do get less)

Hard Harder and Insane share the same tactic/strategies, but hard has same resource rate, harder has 25% more and insane has 100% more i think. Not very sure here either, but harder and insane do get more. Only Hard puts you on the same footing resource wise, maybe @thudo can clarify.....
