A matter of taste. Piano song is good but I think for gigantic war does not fit a piano.

I today add 1 new song Lord of the Rings: The Battle of the Hornburg
you can download just new song from here > Sendspace.com or download full pack with new music from first post.

@ XsauroxPlayer: Yes, there is. Rename the .fda files you want to add to whatever you want without using spaces or special characters, then place them into\UltimateApocalypse\data\sound\music, then go to \UltimateApocalypse\data and open soundplaylistmusic.lua with Notepad or a code editor (such as Notepad++). In the file you'll see a list like this:

Add your renamed files into the list following its format. Do note the .fda extension isn't included. Save the file and done! On the next skirmish you play, both the UA music and your added music will be played.

Okay well, I've listened to most and... these might seem doable. But not for the 1.73 patch... music files are a bit too big for what I want in just a patch, plus music is literally game changing. For something like 1.74, you can guarantee it and it will be heavily looked into, as long as the majority of the team agrees...

You can add as many tracks as you want by editing soundplaylistmusic.lua. The only real limits are your hard drive's capacity and how much you're willing to wait for Soulstorm to load

CIS_Lord_Grievous I was thinking about Two Steps I really like them maybe will put them in next final version . I looking for something with strong drums. For sure change Jesper Kyd, Dark Knight ( will change it for this "less slow parts" version Youtube.com ) and medieval 2, gothic 3, punisher for some more... w40 universe. Please give your suggestions here remember about strong drums and something longer than 3min.

JAPIERDOLE2, I think that is a good initiative for you that you collect some kind of music that have a EPIC sound (for you), but i guess that you are very pretentious to say that the UA team have to delete the piano music, many people (I guess) really love this piano music and just as you like epic music, others will like us more calm and introspective music, and you must respect the musical taste of all. Again, great for you and your OST but stop saying, please, that you have hope UA team delete this or that song of the official version.

Like I said I like piano song but synchronization between music and what's happening on the screen must be maintaine. Imagine the reverse situation where someone play EPIC song at funeral.

Friend JAPIERDOLE2, you're all correct in your assessment but not all the songs are calm and slow (like the piano song). For example the super cool song Chant (like a gregorian chant) isn't epic song but create an extraordinary atmosphere of mistery (properly for SM or the Emperor, I guess); I think that could be a balance between the two kind of music n_n'.

Thats right. Chant fits here, but not legendary "piano song" .

Skyrim! LOTR!? Hum, I don't want to sound like an a**hole (even though I will) but it sounds everything but not epic (for 40k I mean. Sounds really off). I think this kind of sound is definitively fitting to 40k skirmish for example

I'm using it into my personal playlist (had to edit it with Audacity though) but it work great while building and while fighting...it can even boost my zeal some time If you take time to watch and listen GW (Tempestus scion) and FW (master class III & Cityscape) youtube channels videos there are some few music (once edited) which fit perfectly the mood. From their sources, it's quite normal I would say :p Preliator, Carmina choir even if very well known and if you don't mind music with lyrics, is very nice too.
This works well too Youtube.com. Lowering tempo and lowering it of 2 tones make it even better.
By the way I thought UA did not wanted to have issue with copyrighted stuff

And I also wanted to tell that this piano song fits w40k and the mod in a few ways so please don't remove it from the official release.

Yes because in a war everyone is a soldier with no morals (sarcasm).

On a more serios note if the music is constantly "epic" and "dramatic" it will feel monotone and that is not good. But I agree that it doesen't fits the ones you mentioned, I play 80% IG 10% SP and 5% Tau and 5% Other so its just perfect for me.

On top of that I was just merely asking for the songs name, as someone might knows it here.

I use it constantly, is a diversified, has slower moments and includes versatile pieces for every race.
