I know this has been discussed previously but I'm not sure there has been a resolution to the issue. The short version of this is, that the Necrons in UA are unplayable due to being utterly underpowered. I have tried to play them many many times and if it's anything above normal difficulty there is no way to win or get past 20 minutes.

Example to prove my point. I played on several maps but this one took the cake. On the Hellfire Canyon Map I played Necrons vs Space Marines on Harder. I tried 3 times to get anywhere but to no avail. I then used a cheat mod to give my Necrons unlimited health. I maxed out my troops and they couldn't die, yet I couldn't push out of my own side of the map. I walked away from the pc to see if anything changed since my troops were invincible but nothing changed, they made no headway because they couldn't kill anything. It was quite amusing to see the stand off for over 10 minutes and then i turned off the invincibility and my troops were instantly killed including my Necron Lord that was fully upgraded. I had 8 Heavy Gause cannons attacking a level 3 Chaplain and he took out 2 cannons before he died. It's just absurd how underpowered they are and I'm hoping for a change.

I'm not complaining about the mod in general, I love it! Except for the Necrons...

I agree. I can't even beat the AI on standard. I was playing them all day yesterday after reinstalling the mod to see how it is. It seems the developer of this mod nerfed Necron's in everyway possible to the point I feel they might as well have been nixed. Yes they get a lot of upgrades, but trying to move out of the first 20 mins is too difficult. When I get the first upgrade to my warriors, they can barely handle a full squad of Imperial Guards let alone both Warrior squads dealing with 2 Imperium. I'm positive you and I just don't know the mod well, but the Necron's shortcomings are too profound to make them worth while. The Necron are supposed to be terrifyingly op next to only the Tyranids. I do hope they rebalance the Necron to be closer to their Vanilla strength if not the same.

All that said I'm also with you on the "not complaining" part. I'm just helping you bring the Necron's issues to light as every other faction is great in the mod.
