Legion of the Damned Bolters Thread - Ultimate Apocalypse Mod (DOW SS) for Dawn of War

Most of the portrayals of the Legion of the Damned have them wielding bolters. They did before when they were called Deathwatch, but don't now. Is there any chance they might get them back? I don't think it'd be too unbalanced would it?

Just had to drop in to profess my fandom of the Legion of the Damned. I am sad to hear their name is changed as their lore and style is what got me into 40k as a kid in the 80's. In fact, it was my LotD painted SM army that got me hired at Games Workshop many years ago. Legion always had bolters, but I understand they have new rules and maybe they would be a bit too OP with bolters is the only reason I could think of for a change.

As far as I know the Legion and its units are correctly name in the mod now. I was just posting that their bolters were removed in favor of flamers with upgrade options being meltagun/multi-meltas. Both of those are anti-armor. The flamer is anti-infantry and a morale breaker. I don't see where bolters make them OP except maybe that they get upgrades through the armory.

Storm Bolters eh? Not sure if the model has it but I can confirm Fuggles made some changes to the bolters indeed.
